Two Suggestions. Donations and Shop

Everyone loves a bargain. I have two ideas. One for Strictly lumiel and one for all servers. I apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes, it is 2 AM and I'm creating this thread with my phone.

The first one, it is simple. I will steal from one of my old games. This game made its biggest income from one event they host once or twice a week. The event is called Mega Happy Hour. During this random One hour event. All currency purchases gave 3 times the payout. $100 = $300. Nothing more I can say about that. Maybe adding this once every week or every two weeks would bring in more donations.

For my Lumiel idea.

Everyone knows Lumiel is struggling. And it needs all the help it can get to be revived. My only idea currently to help bring back more players to this server is to make it a cheaper server. Make everything in the shop cost 1/2 the normal price to give people more of a motivation to play the server.

As a dead server, you have to treat it like a brand new server. When GamezAion was introduced, shop prices for the strongest gear was not as expensive as it is today. But there were alot of players paying for them.

I understand why they are more expensive today.

Just like a car, I'll make the Cadillac CTS the prime example; 2003 this car was introduced as the latest luxery sports sedan. It had a price tag for it's top of the line model for about $40,000. In two years, this car became Cadillac's number 1 seller and car. In 2008, a new model of this car came out. The price tag increased.

Last year, they created a new model again and the price tag increased again. My new 2014 Cadillac CTS V6 premium luxery Edition was worth $68,000 as the top of the line model. But Cadillac had a hard time selling this car because of the price even though the car is 5 times better than the 2003 version. The difference between this top of the line model and the 2003 top of the line model was $30,000, performance and safety(stats) and the design.

Now let's talk about ABG and Elite Arbiter. Difference between ABG and Elite Arbiter on Gamez? Price, stats, and the design.

Grant it. I cannot afford this Cadillac at it's Retail price. How did I get it? A Dam good discount with multiple rebates that Cadillac offered because they were trying to get rid of the car and make money. I got the car at $35,000. Alot of players here cannot afford a top of the line Cadillac but with this discount, they can and this is the best route to take for Lumiel in it's current state.

Cut the prices in the shop for Lumiel only. Remove the Lumiel to Siel transfer completely. Keep the Siel to Lumiel transfer free.

I would like to hear some opinions.

I quite agree on what you said.
Apart from the fact you mentioned transfers from Lumiel to Siel will be removed completely. If there are still players who wanna transfer to Siel because of ping or because of their friends, you can't force them to stay on Lumiel. And if some players from Siel transfer to Lumiel, just to get easier gear 'cause for sure that will happen & your idea turns out to be a fail, you can't force them either to stay on Lumiel with their geared chars, no matter if they got it on a simple way or not. Since if that happens, they might just quit being stuck on Lumiel & never donate again, which is totally not good for the business at all. If you can even talk about one here. Then not only your population on Lumiel will be low, but Siel as well. This way you'll only make it worse. Well that's my opinion.

 

The reason why I said remove Lumiel to siel transfer is because the prices on Lumiel will be cheaper. And I don't want someone to create an account on Lumiel just to buy the items then move to siel right after.

Maybe after one year though reactivate the transfer but not while the prices are cheap.

 

i think that server transfers are a dull idea anyways apart from to balance severs. i dont see what the problem is having toons on both servers without having to transfer, makes the game a little bit more worth while to have to farm gear.
in my opinion server transfers are just a cheap way of having to do little for your future playing experiance once farmed and geared.
anyways back to topic i think your ideas are good, but would like to see more ingame changes on lumiel rather than shop changes. alot of people dont donate and enjoy trading items or what not.
thing is this aswell on other European servers people dont need to donate to be able to get end gear. its an option for players who want it quicker. so the whole marketing for Lumiel needs to be different from Siel alone cause of the options players have to go elsewhere. Gamez needs to make Lumiel attractive to european players or future players.
just to show what i mean:
in most cases people play P-servers to be able to have to get to endcontent quick and easier than on Official servers, farm ap & gear quicker, get kinah and upgrade easy. here you need months of voting to get endgear (without donations), ap farming is only through pvp or farm rifts cause relic echange is disabled so on a low populated server like Lumiel its only possible from 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 cause 99 times out of 100 you wont get a 3 v 3 or a full group/alli for Rift instances. therefore its not interesting to play Lumiel for europeans, so the next step Siel..... more populated easier to get gear and then Bam extreme ping so europeans often quit and go elsewhere.
best thing to do is treat Lumiel as a New server and seperate from Siel. make more things availble on Lumiel so people will play there.
