Solved new player (?)

I've played some time on Siel on Gamez, ages ago. Just got bored of other games and I wanna try again Aion with friends. Have some questions that may make me decide where we should play:
*siel- How many players are there on asmo/ely sides?
*lumiel- same question
*What are best gears nowdays (ofc obtainable in-game)? How much time it takes to 'catch 'em all' ?

Siel is more populated than Lumiel, on Siel you can find 100+ online on both sides, it depends of the day...
Lumiel i think you can find 10 - online on both sides, i just log there to check last week and i was the only one on asmo side, and i saw 2 on elyos side...
The best gear pvp you can get in game is the Custodian/Shepherd Set and Weapons, Discordant Accessories, to get the Custo/Shep gear you will need Ceramium medals and AP, to farm CM you can do instance Infinity Shards, Muada..., Rentus Base, Ruins of Chaos, this instances you enter thru a rift in Sanctum/Pandaemonium... the rifts appear one per time during the day, you will need party/alli to enter, you can do twice with your same character, CD 2 days, every enter you receive 2 Tempering Solutions to enchant accessories, 200k AP and 20 Ceramium Medals, you will need like 500 ~600 CM to complete the set+weapon i think, Accesories you can buy with Blood mark (you receive on instance too), so if you farm with 8 characters you will get your gear faster ^^

Well, the situation on Lumiel is not going well... but i cannot say exactly how many players are still active on Lumiel, i just entered last week to check and didn't see anyone... On Siel i felt last weeks less people online, like 70 +- on asmo side and 90 +- on elyos side during the week... i don't know what is going on ^^

 

Gamez is no longer a world pvp oriented server and many people will log off between events that they would like to join that spawn during certain times of the day. On a weekend the server is very populated reaching close to 140 on elyos side alone. Throughout the weekday around 11:00 AM -3:00pm central is the only time the count will fall below 100 each side...more likely the asmos than the elyos. Although recent events have definitely hurt the population of the server...being bugs and staff drama.

It depends what time you log in. Since Lumiel moved to Europe, most players there have an European timezone. So naturally, if you log in when it's very early in the morning for us, there's a chance you will see 1- 2 ppl online. At it's prime, since the population recently grew slightly, there's around 20-30 ppl each side, altho asmo side is a little less crowded.

 

if you wanna play the real aion chose Lumiel,if u wanna play with or against templars with 2 stigmas tree(a templar who have atack and deffence in same time)a sorcerer with both trees,pve and pvp,you should chose Siel...
Lumiel is 10 times better than Siel,but missing players and if u wanna see the reason,join in Siel(40%retards who dont know what is aion about,50% cheaters and another 10% good players) and you know why that 10% play on siel?Because 10% from 100 are 10 players.Unfortunately,cannot play aion with 10 players

 

Why is there no more World pvp? ~~ that's was the whole point of this game u_u

 

i think because of the events...ppl just wait for 1vs1 or that instance...when 4.0 arrive,2 months was some pvp in katalam,after that was only at safezones a bit,after the next update,safezone was up and pvp there was ended..we just miss Gelkmaros and Iggison,maybe Belu and Heiron..aion 4.0,a S**T!!

 

Run around and zerg all day... Terminoin invasion also was fun :3

 

why ppl should go at pvp,anyway they trading ap in "Training 1vs1",and why to go at siege?i dont have any advance being 5star or higher..anyway xform is restricted..when i start playng aion was ely vs asmo,when i start gamez was the same,games was nr1 and idk maybe is still nr1 but not for long..now is asmo vs asmo vs ely vs ely vs asmo vs ely..

Shepherd and Discordant are the best PVP items you can get in-game which are being sold by NPCs in Katalam. You can buy them with Bloodmarks (can be acquired by quests in katalam and danaria camps), Ceramium Medals and Abyss Points which you can get by joining auto events and infinity shard that spawns in sanctum and pandae. If you work hard enough you can get a full gear in 2-3 weeks. As of now, only Elys can purchase shepered weapon as it is still bugged in asmo. If you choose to play asmo, you can buy discordant weapons as an option. Feel free to reach out to any online AMs ingame.

And from other side. I have one more question. I noticed that Aion download itself on launcher onyl to certain point, then its in-game download. There will be a chance to download in-game while playing on Gamez? Or ill need to dowload all of it first?

 

You need to finish all the downloads before you can play.

 

To avoid any problems, you should download the full game before trying to play Aion.

Also, since the retail server and the Gamez server are different versions, you may experience some issues with the items.pak. They are mentioned already in the guide:

I havent' seen that many players on lumiel for a long time. 30 on each side is a dream :O

 

Is Abyss map still there?
