Solved Crafting Recipes (Consumables/Scrolls etc)

Heya guys! First off, im kinda new here, and havn't played Aion in around 2 years or so, so forgive me if this is common knowledge or been answered already (didnt find anything...).

1. I noticed that there are new "Superior" versions the recovery serum/potion, and also the Greater scrolls' ingredients have changed...at least the ones in Sanctum have, the ones you can get from Reshanta are still the same old ones as far as i can tell. My question is, should i even bother with them over the Fine versions? They all seem to need these 'Anima' ingredients that only drop from mobs, and there is no Morph for them...Yeah, don't fancy farming even more mobs just to craft pots every day thx lol

2. Where are the designs for the 'Fine' stuff? The ones in Sanctum are just weird (each tier requires X number of the previous tier pots...) and the ones in Reshanta i can't get without tokens...
Tried farming the balaur in Inggi for them but no dice, 6 hours and nothing but loads of useless armor/weapon designs.

I read the consumables guide in the guides section, but that looked about a year out of date, if not more lol.

3. Is there anwhere to buy manastones? Or have you got to grind for those too? (Noticed trade broker is basically dead, at least on lumiel)

First of all, welcome back! :3

1. & 2. I guess it's a preference, although the superior potions are giving more HP and MP (http://aiondatabase.net/us/item/162000080/ vs. http://aiondatabase.net/us/item/162000124/), same thing with all the other old and new potions.
As you're Elyos, I made a quick check about where you can get the designs. The superior potion designs are available in Sanctum and can be bought with kinah. The NPC is called "Darius" (use /where Darius). About the fine potions, they use to drop by mobs, but as you can see, the drop rate is not the best. Sadly it's just available by buying them with Wright's Tokens. Maybe you can ask someone on LFG if they have the design, pretty sure someone has one in their WH or somewhere else. And possible that you can get it for free even if the person is nice.

3. You're receiving GM boxes, I believe every 15-30min which give you different kind of manastones and candies. The broker is not available right now.

Yeah i just decided to stick with the Fine versions, since there is no Morph designs for any of the new 4.0 mats, and i hate gathering with a passion

Only question i have now is, are Essence Extractors supposed to be tradeable? I tried mailing some from an alt, but nothing works, no message, no sound, just acts like i didnt even click send.... I have the new items.pak, i think, although i noticed the thread says its a lower version (dunno if that a problem), followed the link given at top of forums main page. Hope i did it right, cause its loose files, so i deleted items.pak, overwrote the xml files, and there was an items.rar in there too, so i just moved that somewhere else to be safe lol.

 

Wait, regarding the item.pak, there need to be three xml files in your folder. Nothing else. About the extractors, I do not remember if it was ever possible to move them, it's been a while that I have used those. If your item.pak is set up correctly, guess it's not possible to move them. Maybe with VIP status, but I really do not know for sure.

 

Yeah i thought that was the case, thats why i deleted the old items.pak and the .rar archive. The other file was left over from a retail install, i converted the gameforge retail, to NA, then Gamez, more work, but faster than waiting for a 26gb download through NC's slow launcher lol =)

Well that's a shame, really need a LOT more than 100 extractors per day, more like 1000, to craft all scrolls/pots needed >.> (that's if i ever manage to drop the designs..lol)
