Solved What can be salvaged?

I got to wake up early and I have two to three hours before I need to go. I am at 30% of the official 4.7 gamez aion torrent download posted by Lautaro and I was just wondering if someone has done it before too. What can I possible salvage from my old aion ver4.0 folder. Right now I'm trying to check it myself and marking the files I find of the same file size starting from the biggest files in the torrent and those are the music files. The reason why I am using the torrent btw is because the nclauncher update of 12gb doesn't respond or start even after I left it open for an hour while I was doing my laundry last weekend.
edit: ughhh ]maybe I shud just suffer the waiting time than keep doing this T_T

 

Well the only way to do that is to update your client and then downgrade, but you say that you can't update via the nclauncher, so the only way you can get a working client in this case, is through the torrent that Lautaro uploaded. Hopefully it's done by now though.

hello! I managed to salvage at least 5gb size of 69 files from folders :L10N, Levels, Objects and Sounds. Right now I'm having trouble with logging in. I'm getting the "No game server is available to the authorization server" message and I've already searched the forums and done what I've read like deleting d3dhkt.dll from bin32 then running gamez launcher and updating it. I've also checked my UAC, Firewall, antivirus and they are all turned off, ran gamezaion.exe as admin too. I'm on a "windows 8.1 SL 64bit (6.3, Build 9600)". What should I do?

 

Are you sure you did this right?

If you downgraded and everything already and terminated antivirus/firewall in the background, a client repair wouldn't hurt also since it's most likely missing files.

 

Can you please try something for me? Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT Gamez\Aion\bin32 and delete the d3d8thk.dll file. Then start the Gamez Launcher as admin and update your client. Let me know if something changed or not. This files should be the cause of this issue as the .dll file is the one which gives you access to the servers of GamezAion.

 

Yes, I believe I did all instructions correctly.
I downloaded the game from the torrent so I didn't think it would still need a file repair.

I've been able to login now but this message still appears when i login, i have to attempt at it multiple times before i can get in. oh and btw I've already done that before I made this topic.
