Solved DLL error;

Heya to who ever is reading this.


I downloaded everything as prompted and upon launching the game I instantaneously crash and recieve the error "CRICAL ERROR: error loading DLL: CryAnimation.dll error code 193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application."

Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT Gamez\Aion\bin32 and delete the d3d8thk.dll file. Then start the Gamez Launcher as admin and update your client. Let me know if something changed or not. :3

 

Hey thanks for the fast reply! That's amazing, I just update my thread as I have fixed it my self I'll let you know if problems persist

UPDATE: That changed fast, It crashed after reaching login screen, I shall try your way.

What's your client version, if I may ask? ._.

 

It's the one as suggested on this website to download or, is that the wrong one?

Could you please link me what your verison.ini file is saying? Also, did you use the torrent or installed it via the normal NCSoft Launcher?

Sorry lol, ignore my updates, no it's not working. If I replace the DLL with Aions one, I can get just up to login screen then I crash, With the one supplied via utorrent download, it crashes instantly before even showing the NCSOFT logo.

I tried your way of deleting "d3d8thk.dll" and repairing, still didn't work.

Whether or not it helps, I'm using Windows 8.1 pro.

Make a copy from your NA Aion folder by NCSoft. Once you are done, download the Gamez Launcher, I believe it's still available on www.gamezaion.com. Install it into your copy and apply the downgrade (guide is here) so you'll have the correct client version. When you are done, launch the Gamez Launcher as admin and try to load your client. I know it's a little bit of effort which needs to be put in here, but this is the other way how to set up a client which should work. Let me know if you need help, just PM me on forum or post a message on this thread. :3
