i say again Magic suprecion bugged


Magic resist : chance to completely resist enemy magic skills and make them miss. For every 10 magic resist you have more than enemies magic accuracy you'll gain 1% to resist their magic spells (1000 more Mres than enemies Macc : you'll resist pretty much all magic skills).

Magic suppression : Every 1 magic suppression reduces the enemies magic boost by 1. If you have 1000 magic suppression a sorc with 2900 magic boost would only deal the damage as if he had 2900-1000 = 1900 magic boost. More magic suppression = less damage from magic attack skills.

Spell resist : Every 1 Spell resist reduces the enemies magic crit by 1 = less chance to get critted by magic skills

Spell fortitude : Reduces the damage when enemies do magic crit damage on you. Magic crits do 1.5x the normal magic damage. 100 Spell fortitude reduce this 1.5x damage by 0.1 so you'd only recieve 1.4x damage from magic crits.

Elemental defense : Every magic skill has an elemental property. Glacial Shard for example has water element, Assassins rune bursts fire damage, Spiritmasters erosion has earth element (i think). Every 10 Elemental defense of a certain element reduces the damage of this element attacks against you by 7~10% (not sure how much exactly). So 300 water element resist provides you with 21~30% damage reduction from enemy water spells.

 

His question is "If bards are capable of dealing that amount of damage?" That should only be answerable by yes or no. You guys only make it complicated for him. lol

 

For a Songweave over 4k MB to do that damage to you would be normal, assuming you weren't in shield stance. Also those damage aren't crit.
I'm assuming you're in full EA = 1.4k Magic suppression against 4k MB from Hizael. 4k MB-1.4k MS; you still take 2.6k of the magic boost from Hizael. Also note that he's using the higher damage skill from the chains and the DP skill.
Therefore the damage you take from mages with that kind of magic boost compare to your magic suppression. Will be the same as in the picture.

 

Mag supp works fine. On my cleric, I've used "Prayer Of Focus" to reduce the dmg I would take, esp when Im about to get hit by big nukes and charged skills from Songweavers.

Dude you're in PLATE. The classification of gear that has the least amount of Magic suppression AKA The least resilient vs magical DAMAGE. You cannot tank a mage like a cloth wearer or a chain wearer can. In this case I shouldn't even use the word tank, I should say "take less damage."

Nevertheless you should really read your skills cause its apparent you don't know anything about you're defensive skills at all.

Would very much assist you in taking "less" damage which honestly on this server wouldn't even be that much but still, it's the principle lol. Plate in any case has less magic suppression, which lowers the magical damage you take. By definition Magic "SUPPRESSION" ... clearly a give away. Plate doesn't have ALOT.

Picture proof? of you having said 3k Mag sup and taking said 2.2k~3k dmg? As if someone does Aetherflame on you for 3k sounds pretty much RIGHT. That person hit a plate prolly pick up a fat 7k~8k. So yeah it sounds PRETTY Right. BUt put pictures here like everyone else instead of typing numbers.

Really? I really thought that Prayer of Focus I is only for increasing Concentration Stumble Resistance Value, and Spell Debuff. If what you said is true, that's awesome!

Show us a SS of your "3k MS" along with the damage you take from a Songweaver then I'll believe your wise words.

Hm isee you rolling Chant buff + Sym mind + empowerment. Counts for alot of that "2900" mag suppression. Very nice.

Do that. Test it with someone in your legion now and post the dmg. I dunno why you come with 1/2 proof. Use someone of substance and consistency like Mordredl or Asaemon.

You're still seriously thinking that 2.249 MR and only 1.194 Magic Suppression is going to reduce the damage you get from a Songweaver who's in FULL EA?
Not to mention that the set you're wearing is probably custodian.

 

I just say the magic suprecion not run well at all, or ask yourself to because a sw, sm or sorcer do the same damage to almost all kinds
only with the difference pvp defense

and I do not think I ever fix these problems
