    you can search it ingame. click menu> community> find friends> search then click search
    but i think elyos online list is different from asmo.
    Edited: as of now, online characters in elyos is 104 and 72 players in asmo.

    Depends also on which server you mean since we have two.
    Siel (no stigma system, located in US) has a bigger population (sometimes ~200-300, see above the numbers), while Lumiel (stigma system) has less players (10-20, sometimes even less).

    The search option is correct, it shows how many people are online per side, but the max is 104 (meaning if there are 150 players online, it will still show 104 if you use search) therefore it is not very convenient to count the population. We had a very handy public online tool a while back that showed exactly how many players were online per side but as far as I know it doesn't work and we don't have anything similar for players to use as of now.
