Returning player (Haven't played in years..)

Hey, I'm thinking about playing Aion again and much to my surprise this server is still around.
I have a few questions regarding my account though... I don't remember the username or password I used for my in-game account and I don't see any way to recover that. I can probably guess which email I used. Is it possible or am I out of luck?

Have the servers wiped since I last played? I'm talking at least 4 years ago.

If so, is there anything I can do to recover old donations? I checked and I do still have all the paypal transaction IDs, I think I donated around $90 in total.
Wow, I just checked and it was 5 years ago that I donated. I had a lot of fun playing back then and made some awesome friends, I eventually stopped playing after a few months though because of people duplicating the currency to the point of it being worthless. Are the prices still super inflated or?

One last question, what is the active player-base like? I remember pretty much everywhere on the map being constantly packed but I doubt it's as busy as it was back then.

I don't want my money back. I was hoping I would be able to get the equivalent points to the donation I made... if not so be it. At least I know the account I had is gone, so thanks for answering that part of my post.

 

If you remember your email address, you can try to use the search option there – if there is any – (e.g. keyword: 'Gamez') and look for the mail that you received during your first registration. It might show your user info or such but if it's really as old as you say, not sure. @Puddles might be able to help you with that if you leave her a PM.

hey man welcme back, I have been on a 4-year hiatus as well and just recently returned (about 1 month). The only difference is that I was not a donator back then since I was still a student hehe and got all my gear (ABG) from voting in website. Yeah player base is quiet big, composed of around 70% Filipinos (me included).

Quiet frankly I like the new gamez aion, lots of activities(i.e. 2 gods, 1v1, gvg), staff members and GMs are extremely active and constantly thinking of new activities, unlike before where we only get pvp activity in gelk and inggi. Enchantment system has become more vast and challenging which was virtually non existent before. You could get great pvp gear by doing constant boss hunts and instances (i.e. Rentus base, infinity shard and etc.).

 

i m not trying to be a dick to you, just saying, to ask after 4 years that ....u donated once u had your credits, i think that s all. only valuable item from the past is the woc2, others are not good anymore.

 

Ah, I think you misunderstand. If my account still exists, even if I cannot regain access, I would have no problem accepting that I spent the credits - I was only asking if I would be able to get them back if my account had been deleted.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll send Puddles a PM and see if either my emails or old transaction IDs would be possible to link to at least the username I used. I know my main characters name at least, because I remember I had spelled it wrong... haha. After looking through another email account it looks like I created the account in 2010..

In the end I might just end up making a new account.

@Jigs Back when I first played I was playing on a crappy laptop with a built in intel GPU. God, any PvP with over 10 people was awful. Looking forward to playing now I've upgraded a bit.

 

Yes I totally agree, donation is donation, you cant get it back coz u already purchased it, its like wanting newer model laptop coz u bought their previous model. Honestly, I think its better to start a new account/character coz you get free gear thats better than the ABGs which Im sure are the ones you have lol.

 

We can always help with account recovery, as long as you know some basic info needed, for example we won't just tell anyone their email address and account name if they only remember the characters If you remember your email address then as mentioned, you can find your info in the old email you registered with when you first made your account.

Wrong, accounts don't automatically get deleted, the deletion is manual.
However if you say you haven't played in 4 years then it most likely is not deleted. I do hope you can get it back.

Now, on the technical side, if your account is indeed deleted then I have to point out that the items, as you probably already know, are not of so much value these days. So a brand new account might be able to help more. Good luck with your recovery though.

Should probably start over. The only 5 year old items that would still have value are the remodels, if you had any rare ones. Everything else will be trash.
