Black screen

Good Day!

I was playing aion before and after a couple of years I would like to go back and play again. I copied the Aion to a friend of mine who's also running the same computer specs as min, Windows 10 Pro and his Aion is working fine, however when I opened my Aion its just a black screen, it seems like I'm on the log-in page because I can hear the music playing but again it's just a black screen, can anyone help? i would really want to play Aion again.

i guess is cuz of video settings pretty sure he had HQ settings, or vsync on, on settings. google how to reset aion settings to default, u have to delete something from game files. delete system.cfg and try again

I deleted them both, I can see now the mouse cursor for Aion and it's a now on full screen however I cannot still see the page, I can still hear the background music.

 

do u still have the SystemOptionGraphics.cfg ?

 

Nope, It's already on my Recycle Bin. I deleted the System.cfg and SystemOptionGraphics.cfg.

 

Alright, press on startup and type in "device manager ", search for display adapters and check if there aren't TWO the SAME graphic cards listed, if there are, disable one.
example:

I would have a problem if I had 2x of one of these listed, I would need to disable one.

 

well restore them and open SystemOptionGraphics.cfg with notepad or something else and change to WINDOWFULLSCREEN = "0", then AION will start in windowed mode.

 

I restore them and opened it and check the WINDOWSFULLSCREEN, its already set to 0

Hi, I tried doing it but my whole screen went to black screen which led me on rebooting my pc forcibly.
BTW, im using the same PC as I used when I played Aion last 2014. I'm not sure what should I do to make it work.

 

well, 1 more question. i guess u updated from win 7/8 to 10, did u installed video card driver for win 10 also? and directx 0.9c june 2008 is needed also. i m asking cuz most of ppls just update their windows without to reinstall all the drivers for win 10 lol and they got a lot of problems with their pc after all

 

You had to do it only if you have 2 the SAME graphic cards listed, like Nvidia geforece gtx 960m and Nvidia geforece gtx 960m then intel hd graphics... If you didn't have 2 the same graphic cards listed, you didn't need to do it. Make sure your graphic card's drivers are updated.

 

I was using Windows 7 originally, I let my friend use my PC for morethan a year and they upgraded it to windows 8.1 without my permission (which erased all of my personal data including the most important "AION" lol), and then I just upgraded it to the windows 10 yesterday and installed the drivers for my display adapter, I'll go ahead and download the directx 0.9c june 2008. Hope it works.
