I prefer a populated server and an acceptable ping than a server with very few players and a very good ping. Since many players from Siel, are in the Asian area, I do not think you have a very bad ping compared to them. Ping from Europe is acceptable, compared to Asia.

Right. with 130-150+ MS of EU (minus the effect of Battleping or other ping reducers).

That's what it comes down to, one's preference. I prefer a lower populated server and good ping, which is why I'm sad Lumiel is closing. Going from ~30ms to >200 is a big jump and will take some getting used to, others report even higher pings on Siel. Saying that Asian players play with higher doesn't really help :p

@cocosul the fact that you chose high ping and high population over LOT lower ping and fewer people says all what a noob player you are.

You should respect the opinions of others, even if you agree or not. My choice, in my view, is very good. And about me, as a player, it's not your problem.

We can't, that's the whole point. And when we express our disappointment (perhaps not in the best way) we get told that 'it can't be changed so don't complain', or 'others have worse ping, don't complain' which feels dismissive. Surely you can understand some of us are sad to be leaving Lumiel and want to talk about that?

Maybe we can't change anything but it helps to talk about it, and at least the Admins will be aware of how we feel.

Yeah I understand what you're saying but Lumiel has been struggling for 3+ years way before you guys joined and now they finally decided to get rid of it because there's no donators, players or activity. It may have been a nice community to you guys but it had no future honestly. Everytime I logged on there it's quiet and no one speaks and there's only 5-10 people on.

Again that is your opinon/preference. I didn't see it as struggling at all, we have/had our community of 5-10 friends., which is how I preferred to play personally.

I completely understand the business decision to close it, but that doesn't make our feelings any less valid.

I agree, it was sudden and everyone has their own preference, but GMs couldn't do events on there or anything. I know it may come off as dismissive but in all honestly if you can't really do anything than talk to your friends whats the point? There was barely any pvp etc.
