Updating launcher

Ive been experinencing this issue, preventing me from logging in; "No game server is available to the autherntication .. (6)"

I went onto the common errrors & fixes thread. It said to reinstall the gamezaion launcer and let it update. However this does not happen when i do so. Is it suppose to update after the torrent is downloaded; before it can run?

It did not update when I initially downloaded the 5.3 torrent (not the 5.0-5.3 update but the full thing). And has not now when i redownloaded the launcher. Is there a way to force update it or something?

Downloading from the website will get you the latest launcher. Alternatively, can you let us know the version number bottom left corner of the launcher? The latest is v2.16.

Just so you know, a couple of other people are currently experiencing that error. Still trying to identify the issue and fix it.

 

I tried downloading that but made no difference. Yes it is V2.16. I was wondering whether it is suppose to update before I can press start? As this is what it says in the common fixes and errors thread.

 

Well generally it does 2 things:
1. Update itself if a new version is available. In your case, 2.16 is the latest.
2. Download Gamez specific files. This includes L10N\enu\Data\zData.pak and the news feed on login screen. Since you got the client from the Gamez torrent, you would have already had those.
This means that there isn't necessarily a reason for it to update anything. Either way, there are a few people who get this issue and we are still looking into why. One person was going to test something for me, but hasn't come back yet. If you want to get teamviewer, I can test it with you.

Quick question: were you able to play on 5.0?

 

I followed a video by Kessi about how to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.3 by using the torrent to check the files etc. Well i did that and it found some files to add. Was on 99.7% after checking. I tried doing this but it comes up with an error "Error: Access is denied. (WriteToDisk)". This comes up where the download status bar is.

I have full admin rights etc.

I only did that to check if i had all the files etc btw. (i was already at 5.3)

Just retesting it now by starting utorrent in admin mode (forgot to do this before.) fingers crossed haha

This isn't about admin rights. This is your folder being set to read only.

It would help to see if you specified which app you tried to run. Can't see any detail here except for the message. Can you show a screenshot of your GamezAION folder with GamezAION.exe visible?

 

At the very least I can tell you that your launcher is out of date. The size of the latest version is 17,655kb. What you have is the version from the torrent. Judging by the fact that you are torrenting it, I have the suspicion that the file isn't even fully downloaded. I would say download the launcher from here:
http://gamezaion.com/GamezAION Launcher.zip
This will give you the latest version and also ensure that it is a complete file. If the game still doesn't run, I would verify the files with the torrent to ensure all the files are fully downloaded.

You are one folder too deep. The launcher should be saved in the same folder as bin32. The path should also point to the location of the game. In your case, both the path as well as the file should be C:\Users\Acer\Downloads\Gamezaion\Aion\Gamezaion\

Edit: scratch that, I saw your previous screenshot. Not sure why you have so many GamezAION subfolders. Get teamviewer and I can sort it out. Otherwise your path seems to be the right one and it should run.
