Does manastone resist magic work in this server?

if not, what manastone is best for cleric?

 

Magic resist does work, but overall magical accuracy is also very high.. MR works best on the 55 abg chain set.

 

umm, im using anuhart set. + MS block 25. is it okay?

 

Nah, with anuhart set just use HP+85 and save up until you can get the abg set. You could try it with MR stones but since each piece only has 4 slots for socketing, it wont work as well.

With abg, use lots of magic resist, maybe a little HP just to get an even number

abg has the biggest stats like magic resist so yes ucan put mresist and will help u alot....the best thing is save ur money and donate for abg :biggrin:

 

It's very useful.. avoiding stuns, status effects like sleep/silence and other CCs, as well as making it harder for sorc/sm to actually land there skills. If the sorc is smart they'll use the 1k m.acc buff skill against you, but a lot of sorcs forget about this skill I think.

 

nope not all stuns only for magic type of stuns like ambush most likely hehehe

hows MR as a Templar? Even though i know they got one skill for 800 bonus.

 

i got a little confused with MR because there was this player i met in game that said MR in this server is 1, so using MR would be useless cause whatever the damage given would be the damage taken.

is this even true? i mean, i couldn't say it is or not, cause i think he knows what he was talking about. so i didn't argue and just farmed for Block+25 xD

 

Magic resist doesn't lower the amount of damage you take from spells, just gives you a higher chance to resist them. Without the 55 chain abg set you wouldn't notice a huge different anyways

 

Soo the calculation is like this.

Spell dmg 3k without mr set

Spell dmg 0-3k with MR set.

If you resist the spell ther is no dmg at all and no sleep or stun effect

Correct me if im wrong.

 

What`s the ratio of M.acc. and M.res. to actualy feel the resists? I ask cuz on my templar with 2k+ M.res. (with skills) i dont actualy feel a big difference when i fight with sorcerer with ~1400 M.acc.

 

I don't know about the manastones, but cleric at all is absolutely useless in this server. I was so disappointed, when in flying PvP (this is 99% of the PvP on this server) i cant actually use my heals, because if you are too far from the target your skills are not available. So to use my mass heal i have to target myself? WTF? Why is not the same for the chanter? Now ppl wil atk me with: well dont stay that far from the target. Oki, sure, like is my fault when my group is actually noob enough to not stay around their cleric and all fly in 4 different locations. Still the cleric is fked up, and people are just quitting this class and prefer chanter. So if you ask me ab manastones, don't bother... You ll be disappointed from cleric.

 

I never had a problem using AOE Heals in the air with a selected target that is far, the skill is cast but just doesnt reach whoever isnt in range.

The whole thing with people not being in range for heals is just the same in Retail. You just have to make your group realize that your skills have a range and that they can't be running around or they wont get heals. Just don't group with noobs.

Anuhart with Magic Res is useless. Use HP.

I found that ABG Cloth with HP is good. It has a nice base MR and with all accessories. I havent tried the chain though.
