Before today's update a friend gave me (to cat) but I could not open it because I was in a dangerous area or something like that, when the update finishes I go in and look at the messages and I only had 3; 2 of player appreciation and one of market notification, but not the present that they gave me ...

 

You should've logged out in time. The countdown prevents you from losing stuff.

 

I tried to enter the abyss to farm some AP but suddenly i fell and died and when i tried to come back again i turned into a shiny pearl thing.

 

Reshanta is currently bugged. I suggest you use Enshar/Cygnea redemption landing corridor instead.

It is bugged because it leads to the same map, but the location is different.

 

does that mean that the abyss is no longer available for ap farming? where can we farm for AP instead?

 

There are lots of Battlegrounds available at main city (Pande/Sactum). It will give you an amount of AP and Glory Points as reward.
