Character Rollback Frustration

Ok I know you can't do anything about it and I am not going to start asking for lost progress back, I just want to voice my frustration on how much time I lost from this,
Spent alot of time last night (GMT) trying to get into alchemy so I spent about 2 hours gathering materials (Pure water, weeds, sunrise herbs) to make alot of clear liquid reagents and put my character to mass produce it while I go to bed, the night progressed and I had trouble sleeping so I was over seeing the exp I was getting for alchemy watching guides while I was mass producing, I managed to get too professional 8 before I went to sleep, woke up see my character has broken the alchemy tool but have a nice amount of clear liquids, I place another alch tool and started making more while I make my self breakfast an so on (wake up stuff) come back too see that the server restarted, so I relogged and now, All that time spent gathering and Alchemy progress was gone. I not asking for compensation of lost stuff but I will need to know if a roll back was intentional or not

EDIT: Just noticed I lost all my armor pieces, I transfer my armor set from one alt to another and the last time I logged off was when I stored my armor set in Olivia for my alt to pick up, the armor is gone.... Duo Grunil Helmet & Duo Grunil Shoes and TRI Grunil Chest piece & TRI Grunil Gloves....

 

Requesting that the GM community let us know if the 3-19-2018/3-20-2018 rollback was intentional. And if not intentional that you are aware of it.

I have seen different people talk about the possibility of different rollback timeframes. But it seems that the common thread for the amount of rollback was to the last time the player logged out.

I myself restarted my client around 00:30 hours in preparation for a night of AKF horse training. But when I logged on this morning my character was in the same position that it was when I logged back on at 00:30 hours. The servers restarted around 7am ish? That is at least a 6 hour rollback. Some people complain of more and some of less.

*Edit* And I am rather positive that I was online for the majority of that 6 hours because I had about 5 hours of Player Appreciation pearls mail in my mailbox.

 

I just started the game after testing beta months ago and I lost my beta test dog along with the free dog from being a new player as well as free value packs that I opened. Is this a normal occurrence on this server?

 

I just all my progress as well. About 6 hours of progress.

Really frustrated since i stayed all night for it

 

That more then likely got wiped along with everyone and everything else when the server launched out of beta.

Yes in this instanced everyone seems to have gotten rolled back to their last log in (character log in being channel swap or character swap). I have not seen this rollback issue in other restarts since I have been playing here so maybe something got jumbled up during this restart? Lets hope so cause this can not happen every restart regardless of in game notice (not all of us stare at the game 24/7, it is built for us to afk minimized too).

 

Yeah it's a shame cause from what the GM said there's not recovering items lost. So either this game has 0 Support or they don't care and will just say, "we gave you a 300 second warning you had enough time." lul

 

Well in your case you lost redeemable items that were mailed to you by the game so yes they are refundable and can be tracked so I would make a new report on that but be more clear on what you lost and how you obtained it.

 

I understand your frustration and I probably would have reacted the same way if I had lost hours of work and resources just because of a rollback.
As for the items you lost, items that were lost due to "rollback" aren't given back as there is no way to track these items. The problem has been forwarded to the devs and they will investigate it.
No doubts, you deserve compensation for the inconvenience and the time you've lost. An increased rate event would be a decent compensation. I'll have to talk with Carl about it.
