Recent Patch: Changes?

Yeah, because a lot of the changes aren't just from this patch, are you here just to complain that people don't like the way the game is going or could you provide anything at all to the discussion?
We don't like that enhancing was changed weeks ago, we don't like that gathering was changed.

 

This is why people don't like to invest time or money into private servers.
Myself and several friends joined this server a couple of weeks ago because of the ruleset. Several of us have donated money, and we stopped playing retail.
I've already spent $5k and 2 years playing retail, why would I want to play on this server if the ruleset is going to be changed to match retail?

 

One of the main draw to this server was the ability to progress at a quick rate. These last few patches have greatly inhibited that, and the gear gap is going to seem even wider if these changes stand. I really don't want to go back to chopping wood and collecting a paycheck every week, that's just plain not fun.

I have provided my input into this discussion but most just want to fight with me rather then have a civil conversation. I do not believe drop rates is an issue, I believe everyone complaining about drop rates got too use to the event that just ended on patch day. I DO believe monster and gathering spawn rates is an issue and I believe will be addressed soon as Carl has tried adjusting it twice already. I am worried about enhancing however but am waiting for an official word on that matter.

Please revert these changes, this mass of ppl that just came to enjoy your server came here with hopes of a better BDO than retail. Myself included. I've been here about a month and I've really enjoyed myself. Please don't ruin a good thing. There was nothing wrong with the way things were. Basically all new players from here on are at an extreme disadvantage... similiar to giving 50% of the community tet ogre in beta and then refusing to work with the rest of the player base.

I'm in a guild with said full pen/tet players that have only been playing for a month and just at the month mark. I started earlier but I didn't really focus my time like these guys did, the dedication and time they put in and experience helped them push past most that have been here for a bit. Most of the guys in a week got to 400+ GS. I invited a friend three days ago, he's already in mid 300s, and barely any play time. Along with two of three boss weapons. I decided while I was sick to push myself a bit and am almost full tet.

Experience + the rates this server had/has had in the recent past helped push most of us past what we would accomplish in retail with EXTREME LUCK in a year or more in a matter of weeks. So yes, people can expect to catch up to PEN geared players in just a few weeks/month with experience and time.

 

I played official for awhile but I have no desire to play here nor there. I mostly play rocket league and other single player games these days if anything.

Changes getting reverted are pretty common here though.
