Bookshelf Not Working Properly - No knowledge Gain While Offline Like Retail

Problem:

• Interacting with a Bookshelf (reading a book) then logging off does not reflect the proper status as "Reading a book" under the Change Character window within the offline characters' portrait. See screenshot of how it looks on retail.
• The offline character that had interacted with the bookshelf prior to changing characters does not gain knowledge that increases the energy cap while logged off - which they do on retail.
• In the end, myself and others have used pearls to purchase bookshelves which do not work as intended.
• Lastly, the durability of the bookshelf does not deplete either.

Testing:

• I've attempted this with 12 of my characters - logged onto each, interacted with a bookshelf then changed to another character by pressing escape key, selecting disconnect, then "Change" to switch characters. When I press escape and disconnect to see my other characters' portrait, it does not show them as "Reading a book" and knowledge is not being gained.

 

To my knowledge, this feature has not been implemented here.
