Suggestion - Spawn Camping

Now I've been playing this server for awhile now, I really do enjoy playing on it but the one thing that really gets on my nerves, and I'm sure others can agree is spawn camping.

The amount of times I've heard a friend of mine say over voice "God dammit I got ganked at spawn again" is just ridiculous, earlier today there was about 5-10 asmo at Golden Bough Camp, every time I flew over "Pow!" I've been killed in mid flight.

All I'm suggesting is to make these types of events ILLEGAL in starter areas, I know this is a PVP server, but killing players constantly when they're a low level, especially when they're in mid fight with a monster is just plain cowardice, on top of that it makes it bloody hard for new players to level up with them constantly getting ganked.

So if anything can be done, that would make life a little easier for our newer players.

My level suggestion would be around level 40, allowing Heiron to be the main area where anything goes as far as spawn camping. Its a high level, ground PVP area, which means its not too difficult to get away.

 

Don't fly over then, there are always alternatives.

There used to be a thing that wouldn't allow you to attack players level 30 and under or something like that.. not sure exactly how long ago that was.

 

best i can say is dont bind outside of the main city

 

On top of that, if you do, make sure to always have scrolls to teleport you, because they can't ever kill you as soon as you spawn, you're invincible for a few minutes.

 

Do the next things:

- Have always tele scrolls to use when you see many red dots on radar

- Fly together with group when you know there might be enemies camping

- Stay away from those spots where enemies are camping

I didn't bind, thats me trying to fly into the areas, every post i went to was filled with Asmo, how the hell am I supposed to level up if I get ganked by a 10strong group of asmo's at level 55?

I know thats a lie, Just the other day when I first joined, re-spawned, ganked, re-spawned, ganked, constantly. I made the newbie mistake of setting my re-spawn point at Heiron Observatory.

There is no "Spawn protection" implemented and players usually find themselves getting raped at their spawning points.

 

If you move or use a skill (you can use scrolls and not break it) it breaks the spawn protection. Trust me, I play the game, I have it every time I die.

 

Well you seem to be a lucky one then, cause I don't get that luxury.

Tbh i never got ganked once when i was leveling and with the increase of XP on this server you never find yourself grinding the same spot so just move on and spot going back to the same stop to feed, just find somewhere else.

Oh and tell your legion members to stop feeding outside Heiron gate.

Useless guards are useless. Either follow their tips or turn on rift lvl restrictions.

 

IMO i would leave lowbies to grind but then they just act as scouts and i can't have that happening.

In my comment previous i mentioned a 3 v1 battle but later on it was the same 3 and a level 55 gaurding them, so i left the lowbies and attacked the high level player.

While i was fighting they decided to jump in and help, so i killed them again.

Why attack a higher level and then QQ about dying to us?

But usually i will leave lowbies unless i feel the need to kill. :devil:

 

I always have the urge to kill lowbies or any level as long as I can handle it. I swear, even if you're level 1 I'll use shadow burst on you... lol... :devil:

 

I've not been on here for long but yea saw it happening too, but it also happens on retail, its part of the game..:wink: take those suggestions people gave seriously. And if you really dont want to see asmos before youre 55 then level in theobomos (for elyos) and brusthonin (for asmos).. Veeeery easy to lvl there. :whistling:

 

Seriously, stop the QQ's about spawn camping. It's beyond yours or anyone's control.

Their suggestions are your greatest resolve. :sideways:

 

I killed so many Asmos that camp in Newbie locations.... and one thing i can say is that many of them are noobs.... They dont know what to do when i surprise attack them kekekekekeke they just kiss the floor and Pray hahahahaha

Yeah, it is a part of the game BUT 1. on retail you have slightly better NPCs to protect your town. 2. You cannot kisk in town on retail. Yesterday, when my SM was lvl 30 i bind in Elthnen and i saw 10+ asmodian kisks inside Elthnen fortress. You can imagine how mutch times i was killed. And w8ing for dueling elyoses to wake up and to come to save their lowbies took around 1h+...
