I wrote this guide a while ago, but still applies to any online game. I actually used to get 20ms ping before I recently "upgraded" internet. Now I get around 50ms ping. No big deal, but I switched ISP's, and despite having 950mb/s down vs my old 50mb/s down (switched from bell to rogers cause it was cheaper and better package) my ping has gone up. Rogers actually takes a bigger mtu size too, by 8 bits more. Obviously they suck at routing traffic, even with my ports fowarded, google dns, a quick netalyzr test showed me some traffic was well, being proxied by my isp or just being routed terribly. So this guide, I wrote, helped me with my higher ping games but did nothing for league, until now. cut it back down to 20ms ping. This guide wont benefit everyone, but for some like me, it will reduce their ping. Some things to do that my guide missed was to use a good dns, like google's or opendns and in some cases port fowarding the ports for the league client (you can find how to these with a quick google). Guide is very indepth and detailed, not a short read. Nimakin bought my ping down by 5ms and made it more stable in my case, and mudfish bought it down to 20ms. You can test your ping with league using cmd https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueofle..._to_check_your_ping_without_getting_into_the/

Hope this helps you guys out. Disclaimer, lower ping doesn't make you a better player in most cases. Just makes playing more comfortable, this is a quality of life tweak so treat it as such. It's a bit of a wall of text, so if you got any questions, I can clear things up and help you out the best I can, so just leave a post below or send me a pm. Adding another disclaimer, this is a mix of network tweaks, not all of these are targeted reducing LoL ping. If that's your only goal, I would just make sure your MTU packets arent being fragmented and use mudfish out of all these tweaks.

PM ME IF YOU NEED HELP OR ASSITANCE

    It's not a software!

It's about the improvement of the connection.

    Improve line connectivity
If you are not using fibre to connect to the internet, then there are a number of things you can do to improve your line connectivity:

Use microfilters on the line from the wall jack to your modem and phone. This will reduce unwanted noise on the phone line.
If you have an old router and/or cable modem, then chances are it's not able to keep up with modern web traffic. Look at replacing them with a brand recommended by your provider.
Plug your modem into the wall jack closest to where the phone line enters your home.
To reduce noise from other devices e.g. mobile chargers, move these devices away from your modem.
Monitor the ADSL light on your modem. If you see the light blink from time to time, then this could be an indication of an unstable ADSL line configuration. You should call your broadband provider to get this resolved

20/50 ms ain't a dilemma for us 3-digit ms players. Actually, it's the "best thing we never had" LOL. Anyway, best of luck bro. Hope that many players will find this useful.

A huge bump for this guy. :)

So where's this supposed guide, you've just given a weird short story of your old net vs the new one and a link to a reddit post about checking their connection to the league servers, nothing related to gamez or actually improving ping times..

Working for any game.. it's not about the game; server .. it's all about the improvement of the line connectivity.

Also not about the old internet provider or about the new one.

    It's about the TCP/IP.

Here are two of the ways:

    Improve your Ping via Registry

Push Win+R and type "regedit" into the console. Now go HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces , now you can see different folders named with random numbers and letters , click on the folder with the most keys and files. And now you have to create a new Key by right click somewhere --> new --> DWORD or QWORD (depends on your system 64 bit or 32bit you have to know that) --> name it "TcpAckFrequence" --> Right click on it and change the value to "1".
    Same with TcpNoDelay

    Another way

Go Systemcontrol --> Programms --> Programms and Features --> activate or deactivate Windows Features then search for Microsoft Message Queue Server check it than advance it check the Microsoft Message queue servercoponents too , go advanced again and check all options under Microsoft Message queue servercoponents and click "OK". Restart your PC and you are done.

Test them all and see wich one it's the best for you.

This is what leatrix has been doing for over 8 years and is already done by default in windows 10.

Don't see any way this would relate to ping at all but i might test it if im bored enough and don't forget when i go back home.

...tested and expected nothing cause this entire "guide" is dogshit. Surprise! It INCREASED my ping with 20-30. tard

Those are league of legends servers, unless this "guide" was for that game and then it's pointless to post it here. No shit your connection will be best to the server closest to your location. The only point to this would be to test any potential changes in your latency, at that point you might as well just ping google or the actually useful one, gamez itself.
If you're attempting to make a guide you're supposed to put the steps in the first post, not comment on random shit.

also 20% of 140 is obviously not 60-80, come the fuck on, basic math...

    http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/be-2-digit-thats-how-i-get-76-ms-from-200-300-ms.209281/

You are testing your latency to the League of Legends servers, not to our game servers. The whole post is pointless.
If you get 20ms ping to Western Europe, you can't possibly be getting 20ms to our servers - they're hosted in North America. There is not much to do if you want to get lower pings other than maybe getting your ISP to provide you with a different package that has better routing to NA.
