How to reproduce/proof:

While on a character and not on cool down for server swap, change to another character on the same channel. You will be put on cool down for channel swap, and unable to change channel for 15 minutes.​

 

I am trying my best to not sound like a pompous smartarse because I have learned enough about the game to be helpful in this instance; This is actually intended and is working exactly as it should.

It is a way to limit "channel jumping" a term that means you are changing channels a whole lot for world bosses or gathering areas or grinding areas, or whatever other reason there is for changing channels quickly and often.

 

This is not how retail is...and I wonder if you read...Cd while not swapping channels; when swapping character on same channel. That's not right.

 

hmmm, fair enough I did NOT read the message since I missed out on the Character change makes it happen as well, sorry there and it really shouldn't be should a big problem in the big picture, if you go to character select screen you can change both characters AND channel at the same time, I know it is not ideal but still it works for now, so yeah this is a bug and will most likely be fixed soon.
