Red Battlefield

Hello everyone,

I'd like to discuss the current state of the RBF.

A big part why I grind endless hours, why I lose my mind while enchanting and why I love BDO is the endgame PVP.
Unfortunately there aren't many opportunities left to do so.

The RBF was (at least at the weekend) a safe way to have some fun.
How about to adjust the weekend rewards so it will get appealing again?

Since many players won't need hards or sharps, memory fragments or any other anymore made it kinda unnecessary to take part in.
A reward that maybe is unique to it and won't affect to game progress (in terms of gearing up or money) would make it interesting again.
Like coins to trade in for a costum or something like this. Just a suggestion, I'm up to everything.

I am sorry that you personally feel this way, as it is to most of the population NOT a "safe" place at all, especially when it was intended primarily as a place for the newcomers to the game/server, a place that they would be able to learn about PvP without too much trouble. The problem is abundantly obvious though, for the few "newbie"-players that do join the Red Battle Field (RBF), that there is no such thing as safe about it at all. There is no tiered gear-system, or brackets for gear-scores, which basically means that all those "newbie"-players, just encounter bullies that live to "one-shot" players with lower gear.

That leads to everyone just leaving the RBF and never coming back again. If they do come back, all they experience is having to wait for a respawn and then get maybe 5-20 seconds of "play-time", before they are right back at respawning again, which is no way to learn about PvP at all.

So as I have tried to many many many times now, if the GamezBD-community wants a better PVP-scene, then the ONLY way for that to happen is, to enable better circumstances for players to practice PvP. Until something radical is done about this, nothing is going to change.

Changing the Rewards for the RBF is not going to do anything, but benefit the handful of players with maximum gear, who use the RBF all the time.

What about the restrictions mentioned in the joining window?
Can't you adjust them somehow?

I don't know how that excatly works but I guess you could bypass that restrictions with wearing low-gear while joining and reequip your real gear when you're in.
Maybe disable the joining if there's the information showing for you that you have better gear to equip in your inventory.

Then you have gear-based RBFs. Isn't that possible?

 

Hmmm, had not seen that new message...but yeah it does seem to have been changed a little bit.
Now in the RBF description there is an entry saying, that if the character doesn't have enough AP+DP, they will be unable to join the RBF. So I am about to test it out...several different characters at different gear-scores, are going to try to enter and participate in the RBF. Cannot garantee that I will get to doing it all today, but in the coming week for sure, that is if there are enough players doing the Red BattleField that is
