Blackfin Sea Perch

Hey guys. I have little trouble with Margoria chain quest. I need Blackfin sea perch for quest. I spend 20 hour every day with auto fishing and i get hundreds of yellow fish (+20 skate). But after 3 weeks still no blackfin sea perch. I know its a rare fish but c'mon its three weeks. I spend days in ocean, Vadabin sea, Juur sea, Oquilla's Eye island but still nothing. Im i doing something wrong of just unlucky?

 

It is actually still a mystery this, but as far as I know the Blackfin Sea Perch is on the drop table, the problem is just that there are SO many other "yellow"-fish on the same table, that catching this particular one seems to have gotten near impossible. Without any confirmation from the community about whether this fish is catchable or not, your question is quite valid, I too am stuck on the exact same quest, but I have just left it there, simply because after several days of active and AFK-fishing, I have not been able to catch either Skate or Blackfin Sea Perch yet.

I have read on several posts though (from the past year after they changed the sea content), that it is not just our server that has this problem, but on the "western-retail"-bdo-version they too have the same problem, and the advise given is to not give up, move around after a couple of tries, or go to the areas screenshot by the players on the BDO-codex and BDO-database websites. Not much to go on really, but until we get a screenshot of someone from the GamezBD-community catching one, your guess is as good as mine.
