Patch update problem

Is it normal... that I just reinstalled and run it, the "updating patch files" stuck at 000% about 4 hrs...

 

Hello guys,

Can someone please help me out with the following problem i´m having?

I downloaded the game today and tried logging in for the first time and had the FAIL INIT Security problem. Looked around the forum and saw what I had to do to get the game going. After being able to fix that issue, I was able to access the game, but before creating my first character, I decided to switch the configuration by applying the full screen mode and putting the graphics up to Remastered and since I applied those changes the left click stopped working thus I can´t access the game or even create my character.

I can move the cursor moving around but it doesnt let me actually click.

I realized this may be a stupid question/problem but I didnt find this being a frecuent problem with other users in the forum... So if anyone can give me a hand i´d really appreaciate it!

Same here, i've been stuck on the same place for a while now and idk if its my internet(which is quite slow may i add) also before this step i had to close the launcher as it was stuck in the "finalizing" step for 2+ hours, if you find a reply could u please tell me how to fix it? thx


EDIT : I think i found the solution! i canceled some windows defender functions, all of the antivirus ones and its now updating! will edit again in case it finishes the process and i can play


EDIT 2 : just finished updating and it works! maybe ill have some corrupted files so in case that happens ill update

For the Original Poster @Cecia and @MegaStorm, usually the most frequently utilized solution, is to just restart the Launcher, over and over again (waiting about 1 minute each time before restarting again) if it gets loop-locked, there is no reason to disable the Windows-Defender.

 

But my Windows-Defender detected gamezbdo as virus=[.....and it auto delete and block the x64 file. After that I edited the setting in window system to disable the window defender, it works now...

 

What version of windows are you running?
I am asking because on my win10-pro I have had Zero problems with Windows-Defender turned on, and I am a careful user in general but even though I have had it block two items so far, from the internet, so I know that it actually works

 

I'm using win 10 pro too..but after some of the updates from windows, it seems the window def will detect some of the program as virus which the program is being edited by others not from official...

 

Unless you are using the "future updates/testing new updates" option, there shouldn't be any problems, as my hardware/software combination has been working ever since I turned on my machine for the first time.

Settings/System/About at the bottom of the page it says what version of Windows 10 you are running, it should say 1909, about the recent Windows Defender updates rendering the Game Guardian problematic, I have Just updated the Windows Defender with software from today, and restarted the GamezBD-client without Any problems at all.

What the problem could be, is BIT-Defender which has been known to call an illegal procedure in the GamezBD-client, and even if you turned it off in the options it is STILL running in the background, and according to @Kolka you have to uninstall that program in order to make GamezBD work properly.

Not sure what else the problem could be, maybe you aren't running the program "as admin.", or something else that might be solved simply
