[Questions] Noobie Casual Player

hi, i am a fairly new player in black desert(a real noob), i want to play BDO since 2018 (already make account on GamezBD since 2018 but can't play because old PC)
I only got the not so popato PC nowadays.. :')
anyway, i can online one or mostly two hours of active game time/active hours, more or less, and not really everyday (very super casual),
and yes i can leave my PC at home and AFK for more or less 24hours/day and 7days/week with little to no probs.. XD (ofc minus active game hours)
i have a few questions:

1. Did main storyline quest matters?
( i already play around 4 days here but mostly AFK (fishing) & only do storyline quest at active hours. )

2. or i can just grind my way around the world to progress? what should i do first to progress more if that the case?
(except looking for silvers and gearing, as i already know this is the most important never ending part)

3. what can i do for my AFK hour to get silvers ? i mostly got a few silvers from AFK fishing,
(and i did selling a few pearls items to the marketplace, but i feels like i probably shouldn't do this(?), i did try auto horse wagon thing, but i never got to travel looking for new horse because every time i just do main quest at active hours)

4. where do i have to farm/grind for silver on my active hours ?
(at the moment, i am only lv 34, and only got around 100 AP and 100 DP with some random gears i buy on marketplace)

5. if by chance my connection/router got DC'd and i try to login again it always crashed after choosing server and i need to restart PC or force check the game client to start again, is it normal?

i did look for a few guide here but it's mostly outdated(?) or not geared to casual player (that can only keep up on doing main storyline quest on active hours) (?me),
i'm just starting so please if any veteran and venerable player can help me with these questions i would be really grateful, thanks..

I started a month ago and get some big projects in my way. All I do is grinding and some lifeskilling.

At ur start I really prefer to do the mainstory with valencia I, kamasilve and driegan. U get mainstory rings/earrings and belt -example: https://bdoplanner.com/NecklaceOrosCobweb
From here u can start with Soldiers Grave/Pollys to grind for skill points. Grind will be easier with maxed skills.

Later on u wanted to catch Lv64 for capotia gear, at the same time I do world bosses for dim tree, dande, kutum/nouver -example: https://bdoplanner.com/CobraHolderKnifer
For new save backup u can grind nagas, pila ku and other valencia grind spots.(Or u just grind crescent shrine for crescent rings)
Later on u just wanted to buy and enhance or straight buy.

Every 30mins u get 80 pearls, save them up and buy some artisans from F3 menu. U can exchange them near a central market to NPC "<Gamez Helper> Kolka "
x1 artisan = 10 caphras. Just throw it to the central market and sell them. Takes some time like 1-2 days till there gone.

As Lifeskill/AFK u can do fishing in velia, gathering meat and other good stuff. I will link u a youtube channel for good guides and showcases.

Hmmm, that is a lot of information to provide you with, most of which isn't specifically about this GamezBD Project.

I would advise you to most of all, go read about the Black Desert Online game in general, just find various guides out there and read them. That link takes you there and most, if not all, your questions will be answererd in there.

Yeah, I took the time to answer your questions, but my opinion is just one...I am sure that there soon will be a bunch of answers, many of which will greatly disagree with mine

i did read some guide while playing, though if i go for the detail it would mostly eating up my online time,
and i did play Black Desert Mobile version for a few months when it first come out without guide, but dang it is really different, Mobile version seems like a mini game compared to PC one, XD

okay thanks, i'd just do it at my pace slowly, I've been wanting (and waiting) to play Black Desert PC for 2 years, so two or three more years indulged in this game could be a fun time.. probably.. lol

sounds like almost every MMORPG ever.. lol
really just playing to fill spare time with some fun game, and to quench my curiosity on the game.
