    Disclaimer - ive searched through all related forum posts including the recommended stuff that everyone links; the bottom line issue i am having is that the following happens:

    I Download the game via .zip on main site;
    I extract files to a folder on my desktop
    I run the .exe fille - settings - > set file path to the folder on the desktop;

    It finished update/patching and when i click start the game window loads - black screens for 20 seconds, and then instantly crashes
    *IT DOES START SMART GUARD*

    When I check task manager - neither processes are running, the game simply auto closes - there are no [as far as i see] problems with my antivirus and i did add an exception to it as a precaution but still nothing works - is there ANYTHING that I am missing?

    Not quite sure what you mean here...there are two ways of downloading the game, via the Launcher itself, or through one of the alternate downloading options (http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/download-mirrors-client-v2308-community-provided.210022/), Google/Amazon/Mega, and of course my favorite the Torrent file download.

    The reason I usually recommend using the Torrent file download of GamezBD, is because then you will have the option to just copy one into the "game-drive" of your choice, that way you will not need to download it again if anything goes wrong with the first "install".

    So...let's see...The first thing that jumps out at me, is that you mention that you link it to the desktop folder, which shouldn't be your "game-drive" for various reasons. It is possible to partition your SSD/HDD-drives, so that you have in-effect two or more "logical-drives". That way your games are on one drive, and your most precious Operating System is on a different drive, which basically means that if anything ever happens to your System-Drive, all your games and backup-files are safe on another drive. Which also means that you can reset/re-install your OS, anytime without any problems.

    So the first thing you need to do is move your GamezBD-folder away from the Desktop.
    Next thing is check whether you have the Visual C++ up to date.
    The next thing is to check this section: http://forum.gameznetwork.com/threads/gamezbdo-errors-and-solutions.210464/
    Just in case anything else happens, or that might supply you with a simple solve you can apply.
    Last thing is to make sure that you do not have a third-party anti-virus installed that is interfering with GamezBD-Smartguard.

    Hopefully this will get you up and running soon.
