Solved The game won't start.

I've been playing for a few days until one night the client got a new patch and kicked me from the server to start patching. I left it a few hours to install, but the patch didn't even start at all. I was trying to exit the client, but it was telling me that you can't exit while updating. It was really late so i just closed it via task manager.

I couldn't find a fix for this so I decided to reinstall the whole game.

Now the game doesn't give any errors, I can press on 'start' and the game starts. The logo intro begins and after that it just closes on its own. Like a crash. No error. No nothing.

Is there any fix for this ?

 

Hey there! Have you checked if your antivirus, firewall and windows defender are the ones blocking it? If you haven't changed their settings already, please set exceptions for BDO. After you arrange your settings, check through Ctrl+Alt+Delete if there is a BDO launcher running in the background. If so, terminate it and try to launch it again. Let me know if any of this was helpful.

 

I have disabled my antivirus before but it didn't work. This time I tried to also disable my firewall and it actually worked! Thanks! For some reason the exceptions don't work ? But if I disable them everything it's okay. Thanks again!

 

I am glad it worked! The exceptions shouldn't fail normally, but maybe something was done wrong. The important is that you can log in now. Have fun in game!
