About myself?

Basically im not dedicated developer towards Gamez Aion, I am a very busy person and have A lot of projects to work on. I do however help servers (as well as majoring with my own). When someone needs help or I notice things are wrong, I like to help to fix them when I can.

Dont set expectation for me when you know nothing about me

All in all you might see me around the forums now and then, and you can ask me questions if needed.

Some associates and myself have looked over your post and your credentials and we're confused about some things.

So you're the admin of Aion Rebirth, but that server isn't taking off and from what I saw, there weren't really that many updates to it either. But now you're here. Mkay. Understandable.

The highest position you've held with the AU/AL community is mod for AL (and as far as any of us can recall, there were no commits in the trac by you or thanking you).

So what have you done that qualifies you?

Not only that, I find it funny how you bash ZC in your other thread, yet the worst thing you can say about them is that they have NPEs. Really? That's it? So someone forgets a few null checks and you consider that worse than a project that isn't stable with 1,000 players (btw, we peeked at Gamez's login server, on a Saturday mid afternoon {which is considered a peak gaming time}, seems it only has about 1,500 players online, you guys are 1/4th of the most populated server)?

So considering there are Java servers that handle up to 3250 players simultaneously, and have had an uptime of more than a week, I don't think you can say that the reason Gamez is crashing is because it's overpopulated. Sorry!

Oh btw, ZC has actually been making progress in CPU and memory optimizations despite what you've said. Don't get me wrong, I don't use nor care about ZC, but it's rude to insult a project that is actually doing a lot better than the project you're with.

But welcome to the hell that is Gamez. Give it a few weeks and we'll see if you're still around and have done anything notable.

Actually, Look under project members on AL im on there in 3 places - I just kept the title of Global moderator on the forums because I dont need to have 5 different titles. On another note - my server has updates now and then but right now im in the process of remaking a lot of things so. As to the commiting part - I just give my stuff in to our private SVN till we release it in the future.

Oooooh, DP dev. Good job buddy! You're a DP dev on an open source project that has pretty terrible datapack work.

Considering the majority of the DP commits on AL are either purely custom, are a handful of staticids (no idea why you guys decided to call meshes that), or are things like spawns taken from aion.yg or aiondatabase, I'm not terribly impressed.

I dunno. Just makes me wonder even more what makes you qualified to talk about serious core stuff when you're not even a heavily involved DP guy.

P.S. I looked, your server really doesn't see that many updates. And the ones it does get aren't impressive at all.

Btw, that new website is kind of ugly. I don't say it to be mean, it's just true. Terrible colors, inset beveled text, and you won't get votes if people have to actually go to a vote page to click them. Looks like something I would designed in 1995.

The part where u say u don't have to prove anything to anyone... I agree completely.

You're not getting a paycheck or pretty much ANYTHING at all for all and any of work u might do. So imho even if u do tiny bits and pieces here and there, or help out just a bit, once in a while, it’s good enough for me.

I mean it’s not like there’s only a few dev spaces available, and u’re taking the place of someone better.
So, just ignore all the negative posts and do whatever u’re able to. :wink:
