Scammed out of 15bil

Hey, I was just scammed out of 15bil trying to purchase an ABG Crit Necklace

His in game name was Stance and he was a level 20 elyos ranger, rank 9

This took place in Heiron at 11:35-11:42 A.M GMT -600

I paid 15bil up front, and he showed me the necklace, but once I paid the 15bil, in the following screenshots as you see, he said "lagg" and "dc", but he went to the mailbox and I believe her transferred the money over to another character or account, I asked him numerous times to trade the necklace to me and he declined all the trade offers.

I ask the GM's to get on his account, get my necklace for me, and then ban him.

I'll add that he did infact show me the necklace, logged out with it, logged back in and it was still there.

 

amp i guess dont trade w/o gm'z and you traded with a low lvl charac so theres no big deal if he gets banned :annoyed:

Still, the GMs should be able to either get on his account, or check what accounts are connected to that IP so if he did trade to another account, GMs can find him and ban him.

 

hopefully..........dont get fall on a decoy charac..........

I don't mean to be rude or anything, but your stupid, and this happens to stupid people, see the good in this little predicament you've led yourself into and know that you will never make the same mistake twice.

 

Sorry you lost kinah. Get a GM for trades next time. Everyone has been told enough. screenshots just show you being VERY nice to the person and giving money...........

By the time you post here, hes deleted that toon. By the time a GM can check, takes what, less then 15-20 min to make another level 20?

 

True, but I don't need you to point out mistakes I see myself. I won't do this again, but I wish I could get a little help in catching this guy. If you aren't going to assist me or reinforce me in anyway: don't even press add reply.

I've no idea the process GMs take in finding a person out of this overpopulated server now. But it should still be possible.

Thats what I was thinking...??? That plus the you give me the money first thing thats why there's a trade window right so you don't fall into those traps. "same time man I don't know you same time":unsure:

 

Refer to my post above, most likely toon deleted and a new one started. How would one catch him?

 

Why would you give 15 billion to an unknown player and trust him not to walk away laughing? =/

Return request denied. No proof that he never gave the necklace.

Aww sorry Diclonus, I was going to warn ya but eh... ya went with the trade anyway.>_>

 

Tbh i think in future all trades should be done using fraps as it gives a clearer indictation to whats being traded and to whom.
Dont get me wrong screenshots are ok for small things such as dmg/speed hack etc etc, but when they are big trades such as this one then fraps is the best way to go.

P.S If your not able to use fraps then ask a gm for help with your trade.
