    you cant do the quest because the title reward is disabled due to carl wanting you to spend your credits on titles.

    How would you know unless you did all the quests leading up to the start of the Miragent/Fenris series? You'd have to have every campaign completed plus have all 5 quests giving you all 5 armor pieces. After completing the weapon part of the quest series you would be able to tell if you could receive the title. I doubt very much that you made it that far.
