Advanced Ranger Guide

Hello all, this is my new advanced ranger guide. If you follow this you should be pro and get to become governor everyday if you play atleast 3 hours a day. Here it is....

Part 1: The skill bar-

The first thing I'd like to say is suggest that you make your skill bar COMFORTABLE FOR YOU. That goes to a certain extent...

I will show you what my skill bar looks like later but here is what you need to do if you don't want to copy my skill bar.

1. Make sure all your buffs are in 1 row/section
2. Make sure your combo has a decent stunlock for a little bit and test it out. See if the other person can get to you before you kill them.
3. Make sure you have sleep arrow,silence arrow, Focused Evasion, and whatever that other resist magic skill is in a convenient place (I suggest the second row, you will see later in my skill bar).
4. Make sure your scrolls/food are also in a convenient place. I suggest one of the floating bars where you can use them every 5 minutes/30minutes.
5. This doesn't have to do with skill bars but USE PREMIUM POWER SHARDS. THEY HELP ALOT.

P.S You should also know that my skill bar was a little updated now, most of the skills are the same just the third bar is a little changed, most of the pots and scrolls and stuff are in my floating bar.

ALSO: VERY IMPORTANT.... I AM A CLICKER AND I DO THOSE SKILLS IN THE FIRST ROW IN ORDER. I FIND IT HELPFUL TO DO SO BECAUSE IT IS EASIER TO KITE BY USING THE WASD KEYS TO MOVE AND THE MOUSE TO CLICK THE SKILLS.

Part 2:The Build-

There are two main ranger builds.

1. 500-540 crit and the rest attack
   

This build is getting 500-540 crit then going full attack. With this build you will probably have like 500 attack. You will need to have food + scrolls to do good with this build. The point of getting 500-540 crit is because when other people have +15 gear they get strike resist. Basically... a +15 set = 19% less chance you will crit on them. With food and scrolls you will have about 660-690 crit. Minus the 19% and you'll have about 50% chance to crit. It is some pretty confusing stuff and I cant explain it all but just do that build and you should be good.


Part 3: Armour-
Obviously, the best armor to get is full ABG blalabla who cares...
BUT! the most beneficial armor to get that you might be able to afford is full eat (not because of the pvp defence, but because it has 6 manastones slots rather than 4 or 5), ABG Bow (you should atleast be able to get one ABG weapon), and if you cant afford ABG accessories like I have at the moment, you can get Archon Tribunus accessories. They are not that much of a difference, I played with Archon Tribunus accessories for awhile and I didn't find that much of a difference. Obviously there is a difference but not that big. I still raped.

Part 4: Basic things while pvping-

1. Keep bestial fury up
2. Keep hunters eye up
3. The third buff skill you want to keep up is your choice, you can do strong shots, focused shots, dodging, accuracy, w/e. BUT I WOULD SUGGEST TO ONLY KEEP 3 OF THOSE TYPES OF SKILLS UP AT ONCE.
4. Always have sharpen arrows up and breath of nature whenever you can.
5. Remember, FE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND. FE LOVES YOU. You may think it isnt that great, but if you think about it, it dodges/resists anyone FIRST ATTACK. That means its their skill that they want to get off right away and the most. And using FE will avoid that.
   

Part 5vping (solo)

When you have all the previous steps done, now its time to kill some peeps. This solo guide may involve a lot of dying if you are not good at this. I like to call it "hit-n-run"
This should get you a lot of AP when you are low on AP. NOT WHEN YOUR GOVERNOR. WHEN YOUR RANK 9. All you have to do... is pop some flight scrolls, crit scrolls, dont need to pop food because it will be a waste if you die... basically anything with a short amount of time that youll have it such as scrolls EXCEPT YOUR SKILLS. You can obviously do sharpen arrows, but the other skills you will want to do when you get there. The best way to do this is go to the shard place in abyss where there are a lot of asmos. You can go in stealth and target the highest rank one, unless if he is a templar. Glad you may be able to handle, but probably not because a high ranked glad will most likely have ABG. You will pop your buff skills as fast as you can(INCUDING FOCUSED EVASION) and kill him as fast as you can. Once you have killed the dude and got your AP(killing him should take 2-3 seconds) you can either 1. kill yourself if you think your high up enough to die from a fall, or 2. try to get away. There has been a couple times where I have killed 3 people and ran away/gotten away with it so don't think that it is impossible.

Part 6:Group Flight PVP-

These last two parts should be quick and easy... all you have to do when your in group flight pvp is keep your bestial fury up, stay in the back and just focus fire what your group says. I would suggest not travelling in a group without ventrilo unless your group is extremely skilled, such as The Illusionists or just your friends that you know are good.

Part 7: Group Ground PVP-

When doing ground pvp you will be ONE of the main targets after your healer dies because obviously, you do a little less damage then a sorc except most of your skills aren't cast time. Just stay in the back and kite if someone is on you, pop FE and run around, entangling shot them and just kite. You can shoot and run at the same time, well kind of... You can shoot, run, stop, shoot, rinse and repeat you get the point.

Skill bar is personal for everyone, so it cannot be general and same for all :wink:

Thats your opinion but its why I made a guide for if you want to make your own skill bar incase you do think it is messy.

Its a shout macro, so i dont have to do copy and paste cause Im that lazy.

crit,hp build ranger is better for me

we dont ened attack we need crit

and ranger vs ranger is based on who hit first

so your hp will help a lot after your enemy uses its combo you still have a hp to use and to do ure combo hehe

my hp for now w/o buffs is 9k hehehe

Ranger is not a tank... Ranger is a lethal hunter who kills on sight...outy:

 

nope, ranger vs ranger is NOT who hits first, i always hitted second many times and i was actually the 1 who gained the kill/won the duel

 

2 main ranger builds incase someone doesnt like the build.
I have a crit build there. There is 2 builds. You can choose the one you like most. Ranger v ranger isnt based on who has more hp. It is based on ping and whos gale arrow goes through first because you both will be using FE.

the other dudes combo/armor/wep was mostlikely not working. Because I 2-3 shot other rangers with my build.
