Solution to pointless PvP

When you PvP you get AP, what do you do with AP? Nothing, since medals aren't obtainable. Also, everyone having all stigmas of their class makes everyone the same, killing diversity.

Adding a proper stigma system (similar as it is on crystal I believe?) you'd get more diversity = better, more balanced PvP, and something to spend AP on (advanced high grade stigmas).

 

everyone would have there stigmas in a few hours lol. AP is soo easy to get.

Uhm... Pointless PvP? It's not pointless. The server is made so that you PvP just to kill other people. If you want PvP to have meaning you need to join retail or any other low rate.

This is how GamezAion was meant to be. If they want to add medals or make AP useful they can do that, untill then just use it to buy yourself models, pots or just for the show.

Only reason I'd prefer a stigma system is because it brings balance to PvP. People would experiment with different set ups and find which one suits there play style. This way you dont have players just mashing their hardest hitting skills just because they have them all. I think it would teach people a lot about their classes. Even though I highly doubt this system will be brought into gamez, it would be a nice change

 

Pointless PvP is what I do. I spend all day long on hoarfrost shelter dueling people just for the "fun" of pissing them off or even killing them (Yes they die in duels often too = fun)

 

If we switch to normal stigma system, 90% will cry because they are a gladiator, of course.

Just change it to NORMAL PVP. It has nothing to do with low rate or high rate, I dont understand why low rate has the normal stigma system and we dont, the point of aion in the end is pvp, and pvp is NOT balanced with these all stigma's, they make alot classes really powerfull and making clerics useless as hell since they cant heal enough ..

 

I agree with part of your statement, but clerics are not under powered lol. They get both their Heal Stigma Spec and PvP spec. Not only that but they can put up their 8k DMG shield and still cast through it.

 

Well, the current way of auto-learning stigma's is what makes GamezAion the popular it is... so yeah. I do agree with you though.

Having to use a build, rather then just mindlessly using skills is pro.

 

I LIKE the system that we have and personally am not a fan of the stigma system. Its not so much that you have to pick and choose your skills but that the stigma chains suck, I dont mind having to pick my skills but I really hate that I have to choose a bunch of crap skills that Ill never use to get to the one or two really good ones that Ill use all the time. keep the //givemissingskills, fix the duping problem, and start giving out gold medals and 2.0 should have a fix for fortress sieges

 

You got HALF the point there: This IS a PVP server, should be EASY to obtain skills and be ready to kick as whitin a week or two. (Probably less if the guy's already addicted to it).

But about the unbalanced part, well I still think the only unbalance is that some people can donate and obtain a full ABG set with accessories and such, and rape everyone else that has nothing like that, and worked so hard to only get anuhart and tahas - THAT is what unbalances the game.

Donations help to keep server alive at the cost of an unbalanced server.

 

no one really cares about Ap what really matter is raping ely/asmo in bel or heiron but i use ap to buy pots and sometimes armor to remodel

 

If you think PVP is just using there hardest hitting skill then you need to think again. Sorc with their hardest hitting skill againt sm with contract of resistance will not die on that hit.

I do hope AP becomes more valuable. Like use as a currency. So people actually pvp and , since earn if you want things It wont be inflated like how broker it is now. I am not saying AP is the new kinah. But having things to get and just morethan lvl 30 gold abyss gear, blue and green abyss gear, 5 minute pots, and 1 minute flight pots arent enough. Who know what they will come up with.

 

I wasnt really talking about the pvp of a cleric but,
the heal of a cleric is pretty much useless here, if you've played retail you would know that a cleric can back you up very nicely..
Here I see more and more gladiators go for 2.8k crits rapidly

And the heal stigma doesnt work ( thats why I mentioned cleric ) On retail I can heal 10k++ with radiant cure by using devotion and blessed shield only...
And about the shield, its because of lack of development here, like many things

I have to assume that you've never really spent a good amount of time on retail, if any. Having a good stigma build and knowing how to play your class is what separates you from everyone else playing that class.

Running around spamming your hardest hitting skills is not PvP. Introducing a stigma system would piss a lot of people off no doubt, but it would balance out a lot of classes and really make people think about what they should be doing in PvP.

 

Vote: is another way to get credits. In the beggining of the month they double the credits you can get you get 2k credits like nothing. People are just lazy and impatient. So you choose to bash people who do donate which keeps the server running. Instead spending 3 minute to vote for your credits. It took me 3 months to get credits for my abg items. Plus ABG doesnt make people unbeatable. I know good sins who only use anuhart gear and still beat people in full abg gear.

I dont see the connection that a pvp server MUST have full stigma system just because skills are too hard to get? Thats no excuse, you can just put NPC's selling everything, if you're too lazy to go buy them then...
