Have you noticed that windows 7 has a very very slow download speed compared to xp? Is there a setting i can change to increase my download speed in windows 7? Or am i just missing something?

With xp i could dl aion in 4-5 hours, now with windows 7 its taking 24 hours now. This is a full client install.

    Solutions?

hmmm changing your os does not affect your download speed

( other than the fact that 7 is so much better than trash xp)

you must be having some other issues that you are not aware of

maybe its your lan card driver

    maybe its your isp

maybe its your cable your router your phone line etc...i dunno

its the 1st time ive heard someone claim than 7 has lousy download speed lols

i am using windows 7 64 bit and i have no problems with it whatsoever

(and changing the firewall setting and disabling update would not matter either )

Actually, it does. especially if your antivir conflicts with the existing windows firewall.
Anyway, maybe the network is too busy atm catering to a lot of people who are updating to 2.0

Well i changed windows xp to windows 7 x64 too and there is no problem. 37 minutes took me to download the game with the NC Soft Launcher ( Download Speed : 5600-5800 kb/s). I think the problem is with your internet connection not with the windows 7. Look carefully, maybe the windows 7 is updating and this reduces your download speed. Good Luck!
