I would recommend using www.xfire.com. Xfire has a built in encoding and uploader makes it easier then fraps imo.

You can always take the raw footage of xfire recording to edit/make movies before uploading.

30s is unregistered version. Registered fraps has no limit for record time, but if your raw video file becomes larger than 4gb, it'll start new one so you will need to merge them when u're going to encode/compress video.

No xfire records like fraps, into a raw AVI file. It only encodes and uploads when you tell it to. You will like xfire over fraps well cause its easier, faster encoding and uploading and imo looks better.

I have both Xfire and fraps and while Fraps has much better quality and I can upload my vids to youtube in 1080P it causes a lot fo slowdown when I use it in game especially if Im in a high traffic area or am in large PvP battles. The videos themselves also take up a lot of harddrive space.

Xfire doesnt have as good quality as FRAPS but theres very little if any slow down when I run it and the video file sizes are considerably smaller.

    for making reports use xfire

for making high quality in game movies use fraps then edit with favorit edit program and upload 1080P to youtube.

As for quality xfire does a pretty good job when set to full in recording options.

I'd recoment to convert the videos to .mp4 . .. The quality is almost the same and the size is way smaller

Thats what xfire encodes them too then uploads to your profile page and the quality is still pretty good.

Youtube butchers every video you upload to them why i hate using that method :(.

when I made a report in Xfire I could barely make out the names
I can upload FRAPS vids to youtube in 1080P and there is no trouble seeing names and all the other details
you can see the difference for urself by checking for my latest post in the reports section where I posted an Xfire vid vs every single other vid I posted thats on youtube in 1080P
