2.0 - Launch Time!

Howdy folks, it's my pleasure to announce that for those of you wondering why the server is offline that we have begun patching the game realm to 2.0.0.3-4

Now this means a lot of things for you guys so I'll try to explain as much as possible, our summarized patch notes can be found here.

Getting Set Up:

Alright firstly you will need to patch your client to 2.0.0.3 or 2.0.0.4 (Both work, if you already have 2.0.0.3 you're fine if you're just updating now it'll end up as 2.0.0.4)

To do this you will need to run your NCSoft Launcher (Run As Administrator for Vista and Win7 Users - Very Important) and have your Aion client update.



Once your download is complete simply close the NCSoft launcher (make sure you kill it off completely) and run your GamezAion launcher. If you run into an error at this point we advise redownloading and installing the launcher .

If you run into errors or problems please consult the Bugs section of this thread below although we suggest you try repairing at least once, if you still cannot resolve your issue please feel free to ask for assistance in the thread.

Bugs - Creepy Crawlies?

Unfortunately with all major patches there's going to be some issues getting people's clients up to date and ready to go. Today is no exception.

If the following information does not help you please make a post below with as much information as possible so people can help you out.

Before trying anything (Vista / Win7 Users) make absolutely sure you've run the NCSoft launcher with the "Run as Administrator" prompt.

Error 58

Error Code: 58 (FileGroupApplicationErrorRollbackNotAttempted):

Errors occurred while applying the patch,

and a rollback was not attempted.

The product is likely in an inconsistent state and should be repaired or reinstalled.

The patch application errors are as follows:

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))


The error being thrown back is a security permissions error.

1. If you have User Account Control (UAC) make sure you run as Administrator.

2. Add the Aion folder to any white/exception list on any Anti-virus/Malware programs you have.

3. Find the Aion install folder in Windows Explorer right-click select Properties then make sure the read-only is not ticked. If it asks you to apply to files and subfolders click Yes.

4. Restart your Computer.
