New, and looking for friends

Hows it going folks?

My character name is Streiter, I just downloaded and got everything working today kinda....I wont be able to really play until the 14th.

Anywho I was playing on another server for a bit but left because the community was really lacking, no one was willing to really help out new folks and people didn't even wanna bother talking to one another. I am hoping for a different experience here.

Uhh abit about myself I suppose....I come from many years of playing MMOs and games in general. My first MMO was EverQuest, dabbled in Dark age of Camelot, a bit of StarWars Galaxy, tried my hand at WoW but I will never do that again. Then I found myself lost within what is known as EverQuest 2. I played that for many years touching into other MMO's here and there. But I finally stopped as I am trying to save money and such and remembered I played Aion beta so I figured I would find a free server and..yeah.

Generally I am looking for people to either game with or just to talk to for good fun, I don't know anyone which is hard but still, someone to joke with and just socialize with helps the game play and such go by. I am also a roleplayer, if there are any roleplayers that want to give me a run down on roleplaying rules or anyone wants to roleplay that would be great as well. Any notes about roleplaying guilds if there are any would be great.

If any of you want to reply here as I have upgraded to 2.0 Aion so I have to wait until the 14th or until I can find the correct file help me trick the program into thinking I am running 1.9. That would be awesome. Like I said I am new and just looking for people to talk with and enjoy the game with as I play.

New players or well situated players I don't mind but it is always nice to have a handful of people to play and grow within the game together.

u can find friends through chat or meet new ppl by dueling. dont forget to vote to gain some credits and kinah. remember to log off before you vote to gain the kinah

Hope you have better luck than I've had...


I've been here almost 2 months now - both Elyos and Asmo - and about the only help I"ve received was 2 different times (in game) where I was basically told "STFU"

I've been on FPS (First Person Shooters) as well as MMO's since the early 90's (mostly FPS till about 4 yrs ago). Except for a small bit of help that I've received from my friend who brought me here I'm pretty much stuck at trying to learn everything on my own... :unsure:

Thank you for the welcomings and warnings. I had to move but now I am playing but I am stuck for a moment. Should I go Glad or Temp? I heard Glads are underpowered but they seem fun. I think I may go Glad, if its the wrong choice...then I will figure it out all to soon.

Glads are underpowered?


I am holding my laughter here, due to some bugs with the server, Glads and Temps are hugely overpowered! lol

But a well played Glad is never underpowered, choose what class you feel is more you ^^

The high Exp rate allows you to level as many chars as you want without thinking 'I just wasted a month of my life on a char i don't like'

 

Glads underpowered? Heck no. =p I love glads <3

Either way, seeing we're a high rate, you could possible roll both to see which one you prefer. Take both a shot, and see which one you like. If you need any tips or anything we have a guide section, and I'd consider myself a decent gladiator, so I might be able to tip you some.
