    hello all,

There are alot of questions on the forum to make the server harder.

So my suggestion is to make an extra server for the players who want a retail-like server.

    That would probably take $$$
Why not just go play retail?

Where is the difference? The endgame will be the same.

Agreed to a certain point... I agree it would take more money to get, and probably would require more help to manage that server along with this one, but some just cant go to retail since a big reason why people play private servers is to play for free

I don't see another server happening anytime soon. Also making another server will need more staff. It isn't needed to have a retail server. Also what Xera said, the end game is the same.
Carl wouldn't probably want to debug another server too.

the difference is in the rates. Update the good server and take the second with it.

The lagg and the requirements are the main problem i think.

Still I bet Carl doesn't want to debug another Server.
I think the best thing you can do is make a petition. I have yet to come across a person who wants a retail like server.

Until the server is more like retail, meaning bug free another server is quite pointless and it will end the same.

made it like 2 days ago maybe if more people posted on it, it would actually help Carl to decide how to change the server

the only difference between high rates and low rates, is the time comsumption..

high rate = get everything fast, and get on with the pvp

low rate = slow paced, and then later on pvp with those who managed to get their gear, while the others are still trying. same end game ofc

just the peoples who have more free time, want slow paced stuff. ofc it means more work, more GM's more lag, more bugs, new threads going to be made about problems with the low rate server, new complains, more cry babies. bla bla

the high rates of this server is the only reason I play this aion server atm...

There is too many other aion private server with low rates, this server is the best server with high rates atm...

Plus if you make two servers now, be sure than one of the two server will die...you will divide the community by 2, you will have less people per server (not funny at all).

I personnally think that infiniteaion for example is the best bug free server BUT it's a pain for me to grind all this time. You have to grind on same mob at same place during 5 hours to win one or 2 levels : too boring for me (just to hit lvl25). I love MMO's pvp system, grinding alone is so boring.

Actually it would be crazy to destroy the only thing that make people come : High rates!

    exactly my point!

and yea i know what it feels like playing low rates, getting everything the hard way and then being proud for ur hard work, but it takes WAAY too long for that nonsense, when i can just come here, get it faster, be proud of my self even faster, and go kill peoples with it.

good thing comes to peoples who wait...

but even faster for those who go get it...

    Yeah!

I admit i had played in low rates server...i liked it because playing a lot of time make you highlevel and next you can 2 shoot new comers giving a fake feeling of power...
    Equilibrate PVP is better.

Imho Aion doesn't work with low rates. I played right from the start of Aion on a retail server, hit 50 and raided for 2 months, just to get 1 item in DP.:pouty: There is no point in extending a grind. It is by far better to implement new features.

Best proof for this thesis: After only a few months, most pro gaming guilds cancled Aion. Im from Votan and the server population shrunk to a miserable 300-600 players online. The Abyss is pretty much dead and if you want to do some PvP you have to contact the opposing faction and arrange PvP events.

I think that having a, in fact, HIGHER-rate server (half-hour-to-lvl-50), and a retail-rate server would be the best, because it would give the less experienced players ("noobs") a base of operations in the high-rate server, and the more dedicated players (who like to campaign/quest/work hard) a more calm server to do their grinding & questing in peace.

Another point I've thought of is that just because you have 2 servers, doesn't mean you'll be splitting the population in half, all it means is that only half the people will be playing at any given time. There will more likely than not still be the same number of characters on each server.

i bet u this much, lets say they make an even higher rate server, on the 1st week, 50% of the peoples playing on this 1 will go to the higher rate ones, then slowly but surely, another 30% will go,and after the other dedicated players noticed that, they are the only one's left while everyone else is on the higher rate, they will swallow their pride and go in it as well.

That's not true at all. There is no way that EVERYONE will go to the new high-rate server, because there will always be those people who need a challenge in everything they do. You might know them as "go-getters," "over-achievers," or "do-gooders" (or in my school, IB students >.<)

Also, there are people who don't swallow pride, and are too stubborn to get rid of their 10 lvl 50s. Now, that's definitely not a bad thing! They did work (however hard) for those characters, and they deserve them, even if they're just playing on a private server.

Seriously, though, there will always be topics about adding a server unless there is another server added, so why not just do it? Yeah, it's more time and resources, but isn't that the point of making a private server? to work hard at giving people what they want?
