[Guide]2.0 Items.pak

I'm seeing alot of problems with some folks trying to install the new items.pak so ill explain it all out for you guys.

What you'll need: ​

A .rar extracting program (if you dont have one you may use one in the links below)

WinRAR 32 bit - For 32 bit operating systems.
WinRAR 64 bit - For 64 bit operating systems.

Then you'll need the 2.0 Items.pak file which can be found here and for those who are having trouble with this first link (Mainly xp users), it can be found here

If you are using a EU client a fix guide can be found here

I have also made 2 folders on my desktop named 2.0 items.pak guide-Before and 2.0 items.pak guide-After, which ill be using in this guide.

1. Download the Items.pak file to a place where you can find it on your computer. (Before folder)

2. Open up your .rar program, find and open your items.pak file you just downloaded in your before folder. Be sure to highlight all the files like i've done here.

3. Go to the top and click extract to, this will bring you to a new window, then save your extracted files where you can find them, i've included a picture in which i saved into the after folder.

4. Now open up your after folder and you should see one file named Data, then navigate through the files to the usa folder, your window should look like this.

5. Open up your aion folder used for gamezaion then navigate to your usa folder, there you will find your original items and npc folders. It should look like this.

6. Simply swap the items and npcs folder from your after folder to your main folder.

7. You're done, run the client in admin mode if you need to and go play.

I hope this guide helps those who are having trouble getting it to work right.

Nice Guide, Should help alot of people.

 

People like me are doing everything right like your guide says...but i guess the Item.pak is not compatible with our computer. I think the Item.pak works for Window 7 users, but i have Window XP.

Same here..... it's not working. However if I restore the old files I replaced, the game works...

 

yea it seems as though those of us with XP are the main ones having this issue

 

why when i put these files when loading games says sendlog error

 

What error are you getting? and what operating system do you use?

btw, i also used the BIN32 file in your sig... didn't work either...

 

is your directX and graphics card drivers both up to date?

 

ill check mine now i just reformated so ill have to check that

 

I've followed your guide and did it all correctly, but it didn't work. So I thought maybe I had to remove the old Items and NPC folder so I did and it still does not work. What cant I do to fix this?
