2.0 Item.pak [FIX] for EU users

Before you read;

I now have 'Teamviewer' which allows me to control your desktop if you allow me to.

Once installed (And i am online) send me a PM on here with your ID and password (found on the left and side of the software once installed)

It seemed to work really well and allowed me see what he/she was doing.

All i ask is that you 'Repair' your client as Admin and have the correct item.pak for your Operating System ready for me to use.

I will then be able to place the item.pak for you.

Windows 7 Data Folders for those who don't read ^^ (Just incase you want to replace your Data folder with a working Windows 7 one.)
Working US 'Data' folder

But people are still having problems, i personally think it is because they are using the USA folder whereas most of us are using the EU client.

I think the file directories are conflicting or something, but anyway i had the same issues as you lot did.

SO... i went ahead and tried to fix this myself and this is how i did it.

Firstly, i have uploaded a video here;

I don't know why it is zoomed in so close, video capture fail i guess but try to follow it, i will explain in steps also.

Ok so i messed around with my files so much that i had to 'Repair' my client back to retail.

1) Open the NcSoft Launcher, right click 'Aion' and click 'Repair'

This will say that you are updating to 2.0.0.4, then 2.0.0.3, this is normal..please just wait till it says 'Ready to Play'

2) There should be a 'USA' folder, delete this if it is present, if not then ignore this step.

3) Download the Item.pak from here;

4) Use WinRar or another extracting software to extract the whole 'Data' folder onto your Desktop as shown in the video.

5) Open the folder and find the 'Item.pak'

6) Copy the file and paste it into the 'items' folder found in the root 'Aion' folder. (Replace existing file)

Notice that the folder name is 'items', and also notice that i am not copying the 'USA' folder at all, only the Item.pak file.

7) Do the same for the Npc.pak file. (replace existing file)

Notice that the folder name is 'npcs', and also notice that i am not copying the 'USA' folder at all, only the Npc.pak file.

Then run your Gamez Launcher and you will be able to play as normal and you will be able to trade between characters again.

i have EU client and yet to see any problems with it. It is totally compatible with Gamez.

I am getting PMs on how to fix this issue and that they have tried doing it by following other threads but they dont work.

So i thought i would upload my own fix

Sycth , I've got a folder called Aion... not AionEU nor AionUS
Just Aion..

i replaced the items.pak which was in C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\Data\items\items.
with the one i found in pakGamez 2.0\Data\USA\Items\items.pak
and exactly the same with npcs....

I can't trade now anuhart/abg/etc , npcs are still running around like crazy in pandaemonium , People have Private Stores (Y Button) with <Silver Medal> and <Golden Medal> and when i open the store to buy i see nothing but empty squares... and some other things..

Please help me if you can , i'd really appreciate it.

By the way , i don't get any armor/weapon item drops from monsters anymore , only belts , jewels ,etc..
i can get any armor piece btw since the 2.0 update from monster drops , they are invisible. Example: Rusty Scale Shalba that i've killed 100 times and all of them dropped shalba pauldrons , now drops nothing... WTF?!

The GMs should've prepared an items pak and some other necessary things before they make the 2.0 update ... too late now -.-" and at least they could help us with such problems... they don't! just some of them try to.. and fail usually.

Players like u sycth are the ones who are trying only , to be honest..

Can you not trade items between chars?

As for the other things, they are known issues that will be getting looked into by Alente

 

Depends on what you are doing with the Broker?

Items are not tradable, so i am guessing you cannot sell via the Broker.

Are there any known bugs with the broker that havnt been fixed?

the sh1tty thing is not working for me.i tried both links with 2.0.0.3 and 2.0.0.4 EU clients and nothing.and i extract it first in desktop then copy/paste.can't trade or add in shop,WH etc..

 

You cannot trade untradable items to other players or the broker.

you can only trade between your own characters on the same account.

 

i can't add items like abg accessories to account warehouse.i even copy/paste the files manually with notepad and still can't put them in WH/acc WH

 

Are you using a EU client or a US client?

You must have messed up somewhere.
