New2Aion

Hello GamezAion. My name is Gin, and yes I am a Bleach anime fan as you can see . Well I just finished installing Aion....(which took forever)...And uploading all of that other nonsense and I can't wait to get started on a character. Only problem is I can't think of what I want to make and what race I prefer. Also since this is my first time playing Aion in general I was wondering if anyone might add me in forums or in-game, so that if I ever have any questions I can speak to them directly. ^^

Thanks Asphel, hope I do, does anyone have any preferences as to which race to chose? I can't seem to decide and I didn't know if there was big difference or not.

 

Choosing race is up to you, all classes can be played on either side. Both sides are pretty much equal in population.

Also recommend while playing and lvling up keep an eye out for active factions and try joining one of them. Can also search through the elyos and asmos forums section for recruitments.

 

I'm assuming that by Faction you mean Guild? Correct me if i'm wrong. I don't know all of the terms used in Aion so I might not understand some things.

 

Yes faction = guild. If ya want race advice i recommend going Elyos. Later you can always go Asmos (when they fix the bug thats not allowing new account to make both races).

Also with account warehouse in game you can transfer all your items to the other side if you choose to change race.

 

Is Elyos favored more in the game? Or is that just your preference? Cause I've looked around forums, and I've seen that Elyos mostly duels around, not sure if that argument is said on both sides though.

 

Nah, once your in game elyos or asmos you will notice an equal amount of lame duelers lol. but on the other hand you will also notice an equal amount of pvpers per side .

When i first joined this server Elyos population was way higher then asmos so i created an asmos cuz i like being the underdog, now i play elyos for a new scenery but the population has pretty much equaled out now days.

 

Ahh well its nice to know that everything seems pretty balanced PvP wise, most private servers I've joined for other games have one faction/race prevailing over the other entirely. Which isn't exactly always fun.

Well, for now I think i'm going to try out Asmo, just because I've always like the dark/evil looking races when playing most MMORPGs but, I'll most likely end up with 1 char of each race when that bug gets fixed like you said.

Also to bring a good income of kinah coming in i recommend working up alchemy and crafting scrolls to sell, you will need to lvl up your gathering and aethertaping which you can do while grinding also keep any and all elemental stones for lvling up alchemy too.
