NOOOOOOOOO xD i think i didn't explain very well.. let me try again!

I HAVE WINDOWS 7 and the MAIN SCREEN shows BLACK until the accounts load.. after that i thought it was WIN7

THEN I DELETED WIN7 AND INSTALLED WINDOWS XP.. so i formated my comp.. :) and the problem was still there but with XP the account doesnt load ONLY WHEN VIDEO CARD IS CONNECTED TO THE SCREEN T_T understood?

i only want to see my main screen like when im connected directly to motherboard :(

What is your Motherboard? maybe you need an upgrade.

Did you install the MB chipset after your format? And was it the latest one?

If you want to go into the Setup program, press the [F1] key after the Hewlett-Packard logo screen
appears but before the system begins to start Windows. Once the power button has been pressed, you
have about five seconds to press [F1] to enter Setup before the boot process continues.

It does work, his problem is that he cannot see his Boot Sequence.

This is a common problem regarding your Motherboard it seems, still looking for fixes.

Check your power management too, it might be set to keep your monitor black till the account menu.

    try this one

    go to "run"

    type "msconfig"

    general

    start up selection

    choose "selective start up"

check "load system services" and "load startup items" and "use original boot config"

When I have this problem it is the display properties resolution selected is incompatible with the monitor or vid card?

Maybe check if your xp display resolution matches your windows 7 resolution?

Turn off the save energy mode, think that is turning off your monitor during the boot up to save 'power'
