free fly is no fly!

come on man you cant go to many places that u need to fly to play the game. this is really got to be fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!inched::andy::annoyed:

 

Sadly this is how it is going to be. Free fly is not allowed in the capital cities, Inggison, Gelkmaros, and instances. Most players seem to like it fine because of the ground pvp that takes place now. Plus most places you need to go to can be reached on foot albeit it will take longer now.

If you are referring to the Aero links that is because they currently do not work. They are being worked on and will most likely be up and running some time later on.

I like the ground pvp in Ing and Gelk but I do not understand at all about the no free fly in Sanctum and Pande, it is now a pain in the ass to move around in them, especially Sanctum which is so spread out

 

me too ground pvp in inggi & gelk is awesome ...by the way thnks to all asmodian who were there yesterday....its so much fun than before..........................

Apparently you've never played retail before as it is the same there .

And before you say "This isn't retail". We've been trying to make the server more retail like : ).

Fact is that a lot of players prefer the ground pvp in Inggison and Gelkmaros, although I do agree free flight should still be in Sanctum and Pandae to make traversing it easier.

 

The theory with flying is, even with wings, you can only fly in an area that's high in 'magical aether' or whatever, so retail like, would be just the areas you can gather from aether nodes.. which are spots close to abyss portals as well. The abyss is the big ball of aether that magically lets you fly all over.

My complaint with flying is, since a spot is high in this magical aether, why do my wings get tired as I use them, and why should I have to wait 10 seconds after flying to be able to fly again? pssh.

 

u can say what u want if this server is made like retail it will not be well recieved.

Although, I love gliding to the very bottom of the map! Lots of stuff to see.

 

i love ground pvp as much as anyone else but this no fly in all of the areas it is will not work .

 

I understand its ground pvp but there's an aethertapping place in the map, its ment to be free fly in that tiny portion of the map and then have some sort of invisible wall to stop people from abusing it and flying any where else other than the aethertapping spot.

We can use this to make level 50 scrolls

 

If flying is not allow, then put more point for flight.... running is 1000% waste of time. Esepcailly, some place under a small hill, we have run 1 big round type.... this is very discouraging for user to go to the map....

No Fly makes sins unbeatable for us sorcs , good sins i mean.. with their stealth they stunlock you and you die before u wake up usually.. on air sins can be beaten by sorcs usually

Its not all the areas its only Pandaemonium/Sanctum and Inggison/Gelkmaros.

In Ingisson & Gelkmaros you're normally able to use the blue tunnels (or "wind tunnels") that you see everywhere to get to unreachable spots including Taloc's, but those aren't yet working so you'll just have to be patient with that.

Anywhere else, including Heiron and Beluslan now, is freefly.

Some people, however, are having issues where they can't free fly at all, this has always been a problem because it requires you to have a modded system.ovr file. If you cant fly in Heiron/Beluslan (assuming this is why you're saying "no fly in all of the areas") then you need to go open the system.ovr file in your Aion folder and make sure it looks like this
