What's the deal with Signature sizes?

Kay, the rule on gamez forums is that total Signature size cannot exceed 500(width)x200(height). Meaning that the max you can have and u can't stack multiple pictures. Look at mine for example.

However, if you look around, so many people have oversized signatures. So what's the deal with that? Do rules apply or not? Because I'm gonna get a bigger signature since it looks better.

I know it's not a big issue; but seems to me that rules don't really apply?

 

Dont bother, sig rules do not apply here. They are just there for display purposes.

 

They do apply and we give out warnings and infactions/change signatures frequently.

If you go slightly over the limit with a transparent signature its not a big deal, we don't sit there and size check every signature to make sure its exactly below 500x200 so there is some leniency, but if someone has a gigantic box signature that is just pure ugly and noticably outside the limit we'll change it as soon as we notice

Also, bigger sigs are not better looking >.< quite the opposite

 

hmm i didn't know there's a rule about sig size lol, i see ppl with big sig(mine).

her sig height is 250px(230 without transparency) which is larger than permited(200px total)...

Okay I get the idea.

So far the 3 poster above me (except Adieu), including you sir, Edixoid, all have over-sized sigs.

How do you figure my sig size is too big?

The width is 410 pixels, the height of one is 160 and the height of the other is 23, 160 + 23 = 183

410 < 500
183 < 200

I don't see the part where its oversized >.>

Exactly and I stated mine and even said so in my comment lol. I was simply referring to his attempts to play Sig Cop with everyone. Looked like it went beyond "expressing opinions" to him just straight out accusing people.

 

I'd have to agree on this one, discussion or not, its gonna turn into an accusation war of sig sizes which isn't necessary.
