How do you feel about our server?

What's Carl really like? Is he as negligent with the staff as he is with the community? Is he a douche? I have this picture in my head of some guy who dropped out of college and now just sits on a beach watching his paypal balance go up all day and laughing cause he does nothing for it. And I'm not trying to be insulting. I know he lives in FL, I assume he's around early 20's, and his obvious participation in the community have all led me to these beliefs.

Why did it take you or anyone else so long to step up and try to do something about the problems with your server?

How do you feel about the AL community?

Have you seen the new AE community?

Are you or anyone else now getting paid for the work you do here by Carl?

Is Karissa still a useless figurehead within the team?

Carl is a pretty laidback guy, in all honesty he used to be pretty hard to hold into a conversation but over the last month especially he and I have hit it off. We chat every day about random stuff like old friends - he's a nice guy when you get to know him xD

The server itself I must like to some degree to be investing my time here o.o As for "stepping up" that's hardly something new ;p

AL seems to be doing alright albeit they're lacking direction still in some areas, a lot of their updates we're not even committing to our SVN since they're just pointless file layout changes. After you've changed the spacing of one file six times it's kinda time to stop and sit in a corner.

AE will no doubt go charge-to-use in a month or two, there's no other reason to go closed source. Their little drama was a pretty weak front. Albeit I don't know how they even call themselves closed-source when their server files take all of 10 seconds to decompile =/

Is anyone getting paid? Including me? No.
