Ok so, elyos camp at the spawn , killing every1 and nothing happens ? then few hours after i do the same and i go to prison ? ppl say it is damn not prisionable and now the 1st time i do it without knowing and i go to prison ? there was like 15 guys doing the same and only 2 go to prison , srsly

There is a difference between 'Spawn Camping' and 'Spawn Protection'.

Spawn Camping is acceptable (unless done via the current obelisk bug)

Attemping to kill a player through their Spawn Protection however is not and will result in a 30min jail sentence for first offenders.

Correct, i jailed 6 people tonight for doing that, and 3 of them were to my player character which is the same name as my forum name.

'Spawn Camping' (When not using the known bug)

Is when a player or a group of players stands at a Obelisk and waits for players to spawn.
While the player is stood still (none targetable) the player is in a supposed 'Spawn Protection' state were he or she will not be harmed while stood still. (But this is bugged)

If the player moves then he or she becomes targetable and can be killed.
THIS IS ALLOWED

But when a player is stood still and is in the 'Spawn Protection' state, some members of the enemy faction will attempt to kill them by doing AoEs, mainly Glads/Sorcs/Rangers etc...

The player, although in Spawn Protection state will actually take damage and CAN BE KILLED.

This my friend is AGAINST THE RULES.

And will get you a ticket to the county jail!

i had to learn it in the bad way, when in the ole times did my 1st raid to heiron T__T. But thx for clearing this matters sycth

 

um its not just aoes, a lot of obelisks make u respawn inside the obelisk IN MIDAIR, attempting to port drops u on the ground, making it as if u moved. thats whats dumb lol

aka everyone can do it, aoes or not

 

Well in that case just whisper a GM and he or she will port you out.

EDIT:

That technically isnt against the rules because you are moving, intentional or not. But attempting to AoE through the Spawn Protection IS.

um...could u explain to me how spawn killing thx to a bug of respawning in midair is legal? xD i dont quite get how that is any different. both cases u r killed and cant get out the gelk village to the north is a favorite elyos camping spot mainly because the obelisk respawns u in midair and any attempt to port makes u killable.

and yes they aoe anyways, i got so many "u were hit by XXX aoe for this much" even while i was still dead trying to get people to come kill them so i could respawn xD
