yah some GM when you ask for help they won't even reply

Considering we have like 1 GM for every 200 people, I do believe they're keeping up pretty well.

I read the first.. 2 pages and if it's not obvious that it's only a QQ thread, then you're probably not reading everyone's responses.

There's a difference about discussing things and just flat out crying about it. If you want proof as to why it's a QQ thread, just read the OP.

I honestly don't know how I'm offending you by responding, I haven't said anything to make you feel humiliated, or irritated as you attempted to do with me.

Contacted another GM about my experience today, received a quick reply, and still no resolve. This is the THIRD online GM contact, three PM's, no resolve.

In any event, this GM did reply back and claimed he would look into it. Gave him about 30 minutes and then politely asked the status. He responds back "so many responses". I understand.

I respect that, I understand that. My situation is nearing a week old, and I'm very confident that they lack the proper staff and procedures to deal with the workload, else there would neither be the wait, nor lack of interest in helping those that need it for those who seek out the help using the proper channels.

I'm fairly confident that NO GM champions any specific case and makes sure it's resolved fully from start to finish, at least from what I've seen. Everyone I've dealt with has either passed the buck, or denied it outright.

 

Was it a senior GM Blinky?

Like I said PM all the higher ups too. I had a similiar problem, and Kevster was the one who helped me with it.

Only took a day for me, I'm sorry about your situation lasting so long.

But do make sure you're PM'ing Senior GM's or higher.

 

I wonder if Adieu would have made a good senior.

While I understand your frustration, what you must understand is that we aren't paid to do this. We are volunteering our time and our efforts to try to make everyone happy. We don't get anything in return aside from the thanks we sometimes get from players we help. We have lives too, we can't be on 24/7 as most of us have jobs or school on-top of being a GM.

Essentially a GM is just a player like you. You have times when you need to log off because you have things to do in real life, so why can't a GM have those moments too? While we strive to do our bests to make everyone happy, there are moments when a GM might not be online for various reasons..

1. Maybe your in a different timezone or when you log in you might have just missed a GM.

2. They are in 'invisible' mode trying to track down hackers or watching those who may be bug abusing. Heck maybe they are running an event and set themselves to offline so that they may concentrate on the event. Or perhaps they needed a quick AFK for a bathroom break.

The bottom line is that GM's are basically a form of community service. We are not obligated to be on at all, as we are donating our time to help the players. I personally think that all of the GM's now are doing a great. I'm sorry you may not think so, but I do.

As for your issue with them not being online, most the GM's have their GM characters listed in their signature. If you cannot reach one in-game try sending them a mail in-game. This is the method we prefer rather than get a ton of whispers.

I respect your post and understand completely. I am a high level staff member of three years (former administrator at one time) of a forum who hosts over 60,000 gaming members. It's not possible to be there all the time on demand, but I've never put people off, along with their requests for a week or so. That's just bad management, and eventually you have to put off new requests to deal with current issues first.

I anticipate you may be trying to inform members to be available, or perhaps checking to see if they are available, and passing the information on to me. Only, when I check //gmlist, they aren't online at that time. I seem to be off on my times, but doing my best. However, I do appreciate the help.

I'm still trying to contact Edixoid without success.

Well we have awesome senior GMs right now, and Kevster just got promoted. I think he's a tad busy with school/class though.

 

Whining Over Gm's Who got no salary?? ZZZZZZZZ ure such a kid..

maybe they get some credits or some in game items once per month... but yeah.. they got no salary mate.. They Volunteer ~~~ consider that before whining...
