I'm writing a poem for my class, and what better way to get idea's than to read things that have made others feel good.

I've seen really good ones so far, all with their own taste, but all very powerful.

Yesterday's goals, dim memories.
Dark saddened eyes, blurring with tears.
Painful scars borne; Love's history.
Futures crumble when doubt appears.

No brightly lit hope envisioned,
When following after harsh words.
Hurt soul splits in twain, partitioned.
Swooned by appeal - when numbness lured.

Apologies made, never bought.
Price paid turned out far too costly.
Though never known what would be wrought -
Must walk into the night softly.

One wish, only to be released.
Granted - now receive this token.
Words written in rhyme, love's deceased.
When promises made . . . were broken.

here's another one. this is one of my favorite poems i ever wrote. while my first poem is kinda sad, this is one was when i was in love >.<

STELLAR

Not long time ago, you came into my life
But it felt like I’ve known you for so long.
And the moment I touched your hand
I just know I will fall in love with you.

No palette of shades can paint my heart
Nor amount of words can ever describe
How madly, deeply in love I am with you
And I will trade anything just to have you.

First off I would like to thank everyone who has posted. ~

I thought I owed it to you guys to share what I came up with since I drew much inspiration from all of you.

Moving down the field that smells of roses
I find myself happy
I look down and see my family and friends all in picture poses
What happens next is what makes it all crappy

The picture I hold fades
We vanished one by one
We are distanced and I am afraid
We don’t return like the morning sun

but with the loss of something, a new beauty appears
I find a warm place to which I can call home
I greet my new found friends and have some beers
I feel happier than seeing the Steelers win the Superbowl

I am blessed with feelings of euphoria
Suddenly I realized
That if I stepped out of my body I would break
Into blossom

I have another one due in two weeks, but this time it's full on iambic pentameter, and I will probably not be sharing that one.

But feel free to keep bumping please, I've seen some amazing works.
