My client crashes after applying Item.pak file

As tittle says >.>
I reinstalled my windows last night , re downloaded all crap and each time I apply the item.pak file I can't launch the game.
It crashes when NCSoft logo appears.
I can play fine w/o it.

Yes.
I have copied ONLY the Item.pak file , not replaced the whole folders and such , still crashes.

The main reason might be Windows XP SP3 , I have been using SP2 till yesterday and everything worked fine.
So probably , the files aren't compatible with SP3.
But if any1 with windows xp sp3 got it working , please upload your data folder.

I did read YOUR guide , which means :

1) Open the NcSoft Launcher, right click 'Aion' and click 'Repair'

This will say that you are updating to 2.0.0.4, then 2.0.0.3, this is normal..please just wait till it says 'Ready to Play'

2) There should be a 'USA' folder, delete this if it is present, if not then ignore this step.

3) Download the Item.pak from here;

4) Use WinRar or another extracting software to extract the whole 'Data' folder onto your Desktop as shown in the video.

5) Open the folder and find the 'Item.pak'

6) Copy the file and paste it into the 'items' folder found in the root 'Aion' folder. (Replace existing file)

Notice that the folder name is 'items', and also notice that i am not copying the 'USA' folder at all, only the Item.pak file.

7) Do the same for the Npc.pak file. (replace existing file)

Notice that the folder name is 'npcs', and also notice that i am not copying the 'USA' folder at all, only the Npc.pak file.

Then run your Gamez Launcher and you will be able to play as normal and you will be able to trade between characters again.

I may just be repeating what others have said and i apologise in advance, i have not been able to search the forums properly.

This one seems to work , it didn't crash my client , I'll come with a reply if I can trade "untradeable" items after server's back up.
