No sound

I've just downloaded Aion and I was so happy about it. But then I realized that there is no sound in game and also it doesn't want to save graphic settings. I use Windows XP, please help me!

 

I am guessing sound works fine for other things?
Like music/other games etc

Have you selected your sound card in the Audio section?

 

I know I'm stupid but... where can I select my sound card, I don't see it in sound section. And sound doesn't work only in Aion. Also, any ideas about saving graphic settings?

 

try 'repairing' your NcSoft Launcher.

 

Repaired, but still no sound

 

This may be a stretch, but it could be due to the way your sound card is set up. If you're running 2/2.1 speakers (Stereo), and you have your sound card set to anything but Stereo (Surround, 4-channel, 5.1, 7.1, etc.) the game will see this and try to output sound on those channels. If you don't actually have them connected, then nothing will happen.
Check out your sound card settings and make sure it's set to the correct number of speakers.

 

I checked my sound card, all the settings are right, any other ideas?:unsure:

 

u have download the client or take it from friends and repair it at your computer?

try find at aion folder the option.cfg or the .ini file,open it with wordpad and seach for disable keyword

maybe it should the command \disable sound =1

or else go to control panel,sound etc and look the control panel for mute selections

Check your system.ovr not cfg(don't toy with that. xD)

Hmm... You checked your in-game settings right? Master Volume and such.

 

which sound card you have?you remember model or if it is 5.1 etc?

try the follow,unplug the cable from your speaker and place it in other output
maybe you use the 5,1 lineout and the game doesnt support 5,1 or the selection at the speakers are the rear speaker and cause a broken sound connection

you have any tv tuner at your pc?

also take a look at sound settings that default output is front left and right speaker output

 

And if use speakers on my laptop?

I mean built-in speakers?
