Alright...Adieu has been doing some beta testing so now we have several ways to go with it. The way its done now, it detects ur program files and extracts to ur NCSoft\Aion\Data\... folder so it wont work for anybody who didnt install to the default path

there r 2 ways to go with that

1. Either an interface installer that lets u choose the Aion folder
2. Self extracting rar file that u paste freely to ur aion directory and double click to extract to the right place

either of these avoids the hassle of looking for the exact folder to paste to and which file to overwrite

id like some gm feedback, like if they would actually consider using something like this before finishing it up

You'd be surprised honestly, how many people don't get it.

 

Unfortunatly some people don't and others do, but there is something going on that cant seem to be fixed without looking deeper.

I spent 30mins trying everything i knew on a XP system, the different files etc, different locations and still no luck.

But these installers will help the majority of people who are still having troubles and should save me having to answer to the same type of PMs ^^

thanks, so far it seems that the mediafire site works all the time for every1 so im gona stick with it and keep it simple

@Sycth, r we sticking with the self extracting rars? i can make it more comprehensive if u make a final decision its still a rar so it should be easier to get past alente than custom made installers xD but yeah people will need winrar (as Adieu said, most people have them already). either way, self extracting ones skip the whole winrar interface so it should be easy to use.

You'll need:

Winrar
32 bit - http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar393.exe
64 bit - http://www.rarlab.com/rar/winrar-x64-393.exe

If you're not sure what system you have, take 32 bit ^^

Checking Aion version
1. Run NCSoft Launcher
2. Click File
3. Settings
4. Advanced
5. Note North American (US) or Europe (EU)

Download the appropriate installer

Installing

First method
1. Double click the installer
2. Locate your Gamez Aion folder
3. Click install

Second Method
1. Paste the installer into your Gamez Aion folder
2. Double click
3. Click install

Login ingame and have fun trading ^^
