Very weak glad damage

So ive been playing for about two weeks now, and it seems that my damage is low, almost to the point of thinking i should jsut punch them because my wepons are donig terrible.

On my glad i did manage to vote for the ABG spear and have full anu, with basic pvp accessories. Attack is in mid 700s (not great) and crit is a little over 500. Yet my cleaves do about 700-800 and crit maybe 1.5k. Yet every other gladiator ive talked to says they hit for much more (in pvp). And yes i am aware of damage reductions but, even against cloth and leather i seem to hit absurdly too low. But with NPCs ive crit upwords near 5k and even 6k with buffs.

I do just fine... but then again I'm in abg accs... have you used armsfuse yet...?

 

i have, im on lumiel so it was with Elder spear but it adds +33. So are AGB accesories really that much better?

 

Theres a lot of factors to consider, keep in mind that cleaves aren't supposed to do huge damage anyways. Also what buffs do u use, and what buffs did the other guys have on at the time. It also depends on their gear. If they have full ABG armor you're not gonna hit them as hard as if they have just anu, and what accessories do u have? Are they DP, EAT, ABG, or others?

 

Cleaves arent supposed to do huge damage?
I'm a full abg sin and i get hit 2 - 3k cleaves by a strong glad. All i can hope for is my parry to kick in

 

yeaaah... before the dmg reduction I whacked someone with a 4k cleave... As long as you have abg/taha fused and at +15 or 10 along with at least lv30 pvp accs you should do OK damage... also don't forget slaughter o.o

 

Well yes but im saying my cleaves are are hitting roughly a forth of that sometimes. And as stated i have the basic, AP rewards (44k rings, 88k neck, and 66k ears) But i was jsut using cleave as an example because that seems to be the biggest gap ive seen in damage ive taken from other glads and damage ive given to other glads (and even clothies)

And now that you mention it i have not actually even started to enchant it. So is that more the issue? I played Aion at launch and never pvped in the abyss because teh game was too grindy for lvling for me so im not very knowledgeable on pvp damage or reduction.

 

Make sure you are armsfusing with a good weapon onto that ABG spear.


Is it +15? That will make a big impact.


What are your manastones? Double check them and if you feel like you need more attack then slot in many attack +5 stones into your gear.


Is the rest of your armor good? Like is it EAT or ABG? (EAT = ABG imo, ABG is just moderately better... by moderately I mean like maybe 2% better lol).

Even with EAT <RUBY! For Melee!> accessories your damage should still be pretty phenomenal... ABG accessories aren't relaly that much better (same +pvp damage... but they have like 5 more crit on them and other trivial things).

Do you have slaughter/aions strength on?


Are you using your attack buffs?

If not those things... your char may just be bugged.

 

Accessories and equips parts with atk +% makes a difference also.
And slaughter makes a difference also.

they do that damage here because of the gear everyone has, but theyre not DESIGNED for it and 1.5k isnt all that bad for a cleave, my cleave damages vary pretty crazily from about 800 to 2 or 3k

 

Tried to edit so i wouldnt double post but ill state again. No i have not started to enchant my weapons. So if that is the case then i shall give that a try.

 

Cleaves arent even that big of a deal. I've been hit 3 - 3.5k aoes.

Glads are one of the strongest classes in gamez (sadly)
Once you finish enchanting, arms fusing and socketting everything, you'll enjoy your damage

 

I was just using cleaves as an example... fine lets say Presicion stike (the stigma one) i hit 3k with it.

 

AoEs can hit pretty high, Ive done 5-6k when I'm buffed, I've gotten about a 6.3k Severe Precision Cut a cpl times too and thats with DP accessories and a non fused ABG spear

 

Lol, I like how you're complaining about low cleave hits. They aren't suppose to bloody hit 3-4ks, it's a drag. I'm hoping for a glad nerf tbh >>

 

So its basically the fact that i havent enchanted my weapons yet. And i shall do that. Thank you all for the help yall.



And cleave was an example because i could remember exactly how much damage it was doing because i use it as an opener until i get closer to a target. AKA id open up and die a few seconds later because i wasnt able to do enough damage. And yes im away it does low damage, which is why it has a longer range to it. But again, it was an example XD

3k shattering wave > earthquake wave > 3k seismic wave combo (unbuffed)

Thats deffinetly not how its supposed to be. Max it should be is 2k range.

Which is why i started this thread because mine would do 1k max and im looking at my dead body like... wtf why cant i hit that. Well now i know
