Cleric vs. Chanter?

Cleric can remove silenced or any debuff skill coz it has a skill that can remove debuff.
it can used removing debuff skill while silenced coz. thats not a CASTING SKILL.:whistling:

Chanters can beat clerics easily, it really depends on the play style.

Most stupid / noob clerics use blinding light in duels, that's fine just run for a while they root use binding word and keep urself healed.

Most stupid clerics don't realize that chanters can 1 stun combo a cleric to death. But then again that's just me

There is no comparison, they're practically the same classes except for one is magic based and another is physical. Gladiators can be beaten since most chanters can run faster than glads unless they pull off a charge. Chanters have a move called veil / impreg force = 2k physical defense glads = hitting about 20-30% less considering each 100 = 10 damage = 200 damage. But anywho enough of me trying to convince people that they're both the same class one with physical based and one magic based.

If a cleric is silence he/she cant use any skill.

 

Chanter is better in DP and Group PvP, I love my Chanter :love: jeje

 

A decently geared cleric with high magic resist can easily take down a chanter, because chanter's rely on a lot of their stuns.

Chanters got better buffs and clerics got better healing, its balanced :biggrin:

I do both. I just must be that awesome.

 

Both classes have their high points and both have their low points, personally I play both, and there is no "which is better." Chanters have faster attack, and a couple nice heals, don't say this bs about not being able to kill sins, or that if were blind were useless, I've killed plenty of people on my chanter no problem, just takes practice.

I do like cleric though, even though it's slow as shit even with casting speed scrolls for healing, it takes a lot of patience to get used to after playing a chanter for so long. Seriously nothing beats dispell, or the massive healing power. I kind of hate it in duels, or 1 vs 1or 2 pvp, cause basically you have to summon your pets, do a bunch of debuffs, and run like a b1tch until people die. I prefer the melee part of the chanter over the cleric anyway. But clerics are way better to keep people alive, and I can't stun nearly as much on my chanter anymore as I used to.

 

i fought this one cleric and he had the balls to just heal right in front of my face while i was giving him my full burst, they have nice self buffs combined with magic resist stones and they are OP. Chanters you just can't let get away, and use remove shock wisely as its cooldown will render you useless for when they lock you after the buff runs out.

I believe skill is greater than either class.

I play other classes including glad, ranger, temp (ALL Anuhart, two with +15 Anuhart, and ALL three with Taha weapons), and I'll pick my chanter (even better geared) any day of the week, because of both the damage and survivability it has in PVP. I do have a goal to level my cleric shortly, because I want to try it out first, and it's already entirely geared with what I have for chanter.


I'm not one of the type of people that likes to run around to outlast a fight. I'm in your face, first on the line to take on any opponent. A good chanter knows when to toss up the right buff for the right opponent. They know to start with a def enhancement and HOT right away, which minimizes the effect of the spike damage about to come. EVERY opponent seems to toss their hardest hitting skill at you the first 30 seconds, so when those are on cool down, and your still standing relatively untouched, what next for them?

A well played character is insanely damaging, and in chanters case, it's HOT, def enchancement, HP recovery, and 20% Att boost right out of the gate. IJ2 for stun, a small rotation, stun, Mountain Crush, stun, rotation, is usually enough to bring most people down. If you are hot keyed properly, you can do some amazing things.

I can only hope that I enjoy Cleric like I do Chanter when I choose to level it up.

What I have been finding out recently, is that with my old rotation and gear selection, I was about 50/50 with everyone I fought. It wasn't anything special, but wasn't horrible either. I've since perfected my rotation, and at the same time added excellent gear to the lineup, so I can neither tell if the success was due to either the skill or gear, or both. My current PVP tests were 8/8 wins vs 3 glads, 3 clerics, 1 sorc, 1 chanter.

I do not check gear, I couldn't even tell you if they were equally geared or not. Granted, when you are outgeared, your have to rely on more skill to win.

I can't really comment too much about cleric yet, as I'm going to level mine soon, but I think if you fall in love with Chanter, you should do well. It's an absolutely amazing class. It reminds me of my Glad, with magic, but only stronger. That's my personal experience.

 

Naw, cleric vs chanter, both MR sets = a tie. Ive tested this countless times.

 

Duh !!! Ofcourse if Chanter Has Full MR then You Might Resist some of Clerics Magic Dmg , Tho How Would you Ever Kill the Cleric ? Same Goes to Chanter , Battle of the Mana

P.S Who Da hell will Put Full MR on a Chanter -.-" ?
